I just hate how everyone freaks out about getting a certain seat and tries to break the rules (or they are too dumb to follow them to begin with) with regard to boarding according to your group letter/number. I flew SW last month from Denver, I was something like A29. I was on the phone talking to my mother, standing at the correct place in the A row and pole for 25-30. Some middle aged guy and his wife, they looked very snooty, actually had the nerve to tap on my shoulder and interupt my phone conversation- I turned to address them, and he says "what number are you?" and I answered "29". He then makes a big ta-do about showing me his and his wife's boarding pass and pronounces, "we are 25 and 26, so we should be in front of you." I laughed and said, get a grip, its a group that we board under, 25-30, not sequential order, and its not going to make or break anyone that I'm standing in front of you". I went back to my phone call with my mom and heard them barking loudly behind me on purpose so i could hear them make a point of saying "she is adamant about getting on in front of us." Whatever. People like that are the reason I cant stand SW and prefer to have my seat assigned on other airlines, just to not deal with the idiots out there. People have way too much time on their hands these days to pick fights over stupid stuff like that, and I dont have the patience for it. If it werent for people like that, I wouldnt mind SW's model at all. I could care less where in the plane I sit as long as its an aisle so that I can get up because I use the bathroom a lot and while I used to love window seats, one flight I actually had 2 rude people next to me who would not get up to let me out and i had to literally climb over them, so ever since then I make sure to get an aisle seat.
Anyway so thats my story with SW. But I hate Spirit with a passion because of their absurd fees for everything and anything, so if SW does stick with ACY, I'll be happy with that.
