Evening all,

Just wanted to pass on some info from our TA

DCL still sends 2 luggage tags per guest

DME only sends 1 per guest (changed a while ago)

So if you are using DME, might want to ask your TA to order some extras

I also asked about when our cruise packages will arrive, as things get a little delayed around Christmas time.....she is having them sent to her and she'll send it up express post

I have always been a huge disney fan. My husband not so much. A fan but not the junkie I am. We went to DLR about 5 years after we got married. We were waiting to go into the Presidents of the US attraction and as he stared blankly into space, I went into the theatre...he did not. He didn't know where I went so he sat out front on a bench and waited, gave up and left. How long is that ride??!!?? like 5 minutes!!!???!!! He was carrying all our documents, ID, cash, hotel key, and this was before cell phones. I had no idea where he went so I sat on the park bench when I came out of the attraction. I waited. Finally, I called the hotel from a payphone, thinking he may have gone there. No answer. I had no ticket to re-enter the park, and no ID or key to get into the hotel room AND no cash. I was overjoyed. I was STRANDED at Disneyland! YAY!!!!!! I eventually decided to go back to the hotel, had the front desk ring the room. Not so DH answered. He had gone back to the room and fallen asleep after his lengthy wait outside the attraction. What a weenie.

Thank you all for the well wishes. Doctor said it went well, test results should be good, find out in a few days. Home in my comfy bed resting.

Since we're on the subject of animals....we have 5 kitties (all rescues), Buzz Lightyear, Tinker Bell, Duchess, Casey & Mattie (4, I named after Disney characters).

Whale Watching ~ Cabo San Lucas
Awhile back I spent hours & days looking into whale watching in Cabo. I read reviews, I watched youtube videos(great resource), checked hours available and compared prices. No matter what tour, you're going to find good & bad reviews. I feel that if there was a tour I could do for less money (half what Disney is charging) in a port I feel more comfortable in, I would book it. Below is a link to the one I finally decided on & booked. I've had great communication with them, they've answered all my emails in a professional & timely manner. They do have a limit between 40 - 50 people on a cruise.

Company - Pezgato Marine Adventure
Time - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
2 hour tour
Price - $30 per adult
$15 per child (5-12 yrs old)
Gate 4 - pretty close to the tender dock

This still gives us a little time to walk around and go take a picture in front of Cabo Wabo (Sammy Hagar's bar).

Thought there might be others wanting to save a little money and fun to do with other DIS cruisers.:boat:

:pixie dust please:

We are putting in a bid on a house tomorrow morning.

Adding to your pixie dust stash! Wishing you the best of luck!

If anyone is interested in whale watching in Cabo, my DH & I have found a morning tour for half of what Disney is charging. PM me if you would like the info. After the whales we plan to go in search of Cabo Wabo. :hippie:

Any news on those little doggies?

I don't normally post stuff like this..if anyone has time to say a little prayer...minor surgery in 2 hours (it's the anesthesia part that worries me).

Glad your surgery went well, have a speedy recovery! Thanks for posting the whale watching info, I'll go check it out.

Still no doggies, I should probably give up the search, but we keep looking for them.

DS's puppy that got taken by the coyote is going to be OK.

So after all doctor's visits Maggie has been released and given the green light to travel to CA for DS's sister's wedding.

Status on my back is that it is still out I am weening myself off the drugs as the cakes are to be baked today, decorated and delivered Friday and finally the wedding on Sat.

Thank you for all the well wishes. Probably wont hear too much from me the next few days.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful time this weekend at the wedding and I'm sure the cakes will be beautiful and delicious. Are you heading back to AZ right after the wedding? If not, maybe we could meet for lunch sometime. Since our cousin's cancelled, we're your neighbor on the ship.

And remember, if you appreciate all my work, my name is Jeff, I will be hanging out in Diversions mostly, my preferred beer is Guinness and my preferred wine is a Riesling. If you didn't appreciate my work, my name is Alan and I'll be hanging out in the back of Wavebands....

Love it! :lmao:

Just made final payment, so we are IN! My DH & I are celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary, and bringing along our 17-year-old son. We got married at the Disneyland Hotel and honeymooned at Disney World. We got engaged on the Mark Twain, and our first date was for the opening weekend of Star Tours. I guess you could say we are "junkies."

Welcome! You've come to the right place to find more Disney junkies!

Oh, I don't know.... I can just see the new Carnival React!

- Waterpark at sea: now you can experience an entire waterpark at sea with no less than 20 tube rides hanging off all sides of the ship.
Which is possible because....

- All inside staterooms: we've gotten rid of those stupid verandas - every cabin now faces inward with it's own virtual windows showing what's outside, or our vision of what it should be like outside. Cloudy day? no worries - your virtual window will always look out onto sunny days!

Good one! :rotfl2:

i think it's too funny that while i'm at work thre's like 4 more pages i havent gotten to, but when i'm home in the evening, there's barely one page done!

sherripirate:

It's the same for me. It always takes me a while to catch up in the evenings. :surfweb:

LOL. That means I need to go to wavebands... :P Hopefully you'll get the hear the world famous monorail spiel in it's native setting next month.

BTW, I haven't actually been in Wavebands for anything since November of 2000. Though I might wander in for Karaoke this year. I do an absolutely disastrous rendition of pretty much everything.

LIQUID ENCOURAGEMENT IS GOOD! I will admit I had a wonderful time on the magic, and got made fun of by the club host (who for the moment will remain anonymous) because I was expecting free shots, since you get that on the wonder for 3/4 night cruises for karaoke. This simply resulted in me buying my own and singing "summer lovin'" with my good buddy...I sang the girl part and we had a standing ovation at the end:banana:

Technically my cats weren't named after Disney characters although they do share their names with 2 Disney characters. I adopted them as kittens last year and my vet (which also housed the animal protection league animals) still has problems with the names I gave them. Calliope's the elder. I got her when she was 6 months old and she turned 1 in June. Melpomene is the younger (and now bigger) of the two. She'll be turning 1 in October.

I'm single and for the safety and comfort of others I avoid karaoke. :)

Hi All,
I wanted to take a moment to check in and let you know that the program is still a "go" and coming along nicely! Actually, it is done...at least so far...so if there is more that you want, please do not hesitate to contact me so that I can add it in. I am happy to do whatever you all want!! Right now I have all events that were posted on the website as well as a meet for the CC 5K run, some tentative dates for tutoring and...oh, I forgot the name of that game you all wanted to play...but, that is on there too;). I created the document on publisher ('97 version so that it is compatible with more computers) and I plan on converting it to a PDF when we are closer to cruise time. I will try and post updates more often, but unfortunately, since I work for a school district, there are blocks on our computers so I can only check this site when I am home. There are times when my house is used only for sleeping...such has been case recently!!
**FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE TRAVELED ON THE PC CRUISE BEFORE, I NEED A HUGE FAVOR...If any of you have the picture, logo, or copy of the menu from the "East meets West" night, can you send me a picture? I need it for something I am working on. If you have it, please send it to my home email address (misnmik@gmail.com) so that I can have the highest quality picture. Thanks in advance to anyone who can accommodate this request:thumbsup2
So much has happened to so many of you recently, that I hope I remember everyone...
I'm so sorry to hear about the injured dog and lost doggies...my heart breaks for both!! I keep praying that the little puppers will come home--never give up hope!!
Back injuries, surgeries--Yikes, I hope you are both feeling better soon.
Good luck to those house buying and selling---my heart goes out to you as I know how stressful the process is!
For those of you checking this before you set sail, wishing you smooth sailing as you bring the Magic home.
While I am a hard core Disney fan, I cannot claim to have dogs (or cats) named after Disney stories...Aspen was already named when we got him from American Brittany Rescue, Samson was named after the one in the Bible (more of a joke as he is a HUGE wimp) and Nellie is named after the American Girl. Our cats were Ella of Frell (closest to a Disney name) and Maris (bonus points if you can tell where THAT name came from)!
I know I forgot a MILLION things, but I did my best!!
I hope you all have a great evening, or day, or...
~Melissa

Thanks for sharing!

Just made final payment, so we are IN! Yes, we'd love to participate in the fish extenders. We had a great time doing it on our last cruise. I'm sorry we're too late to join the Secret Mickey group. Oh well -- I didn't want to get too involved or excited until I knew we would make it! My DH & I are celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary, and bringing along our 17-year-old son. We got married at the Disneyland Hotel and honeymooned at Disney World. We got engaged on the Mark Twain, and our first date was for the opening weekend of Star Tours. I'm looking forward to reading past posts and getting to know you fine folks!

Hi everyone, we're still on the cruise...just been "busy" for the past 6 months or so! Jeff, I sent you a PM today, and yes, we'd LOVE to be included in a fish extender exchange. :thumbsup2

Shows how long I've been away...is secret mickey like "secret santa"? You give a gift to the person you are assigned to?

I have an actual menu but it is from the EBPC so I don't think it will help you but let me know if you need it.

Well I just had the scare of my life. While sitting at home in our apartment watching my NYPD Blue DVD's I heard a really loud explosion. It really sounded like a gun shot. It turns out something in the house behind my apartment blew up and put the houses garage on fire. Our local fire fighters got there really quick and had it beat in less than ten minutes. I walked around the block to thank them and also to make sure I did not need to pack a few things up. They told me it was out. That was really scary.

Wow, that's crazy! Glad everything's ok now.

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Especially :scared1: in the aftermath of San Bruno! Oye! Glad you all are ok, Alan!

Oh if this was like San Bruno, I wouldn't be typing this. Now that was horrible. PG&E is going to pay through the nose for that one. I am just glad all is well. I had visions of moving back home with mom and dad because our place burnt down. I think that was just as scary.

That would be great!
I found a website awhile back that listed who docked in what port. Somewhere in this thread is a list of who docks with us in each port. It was there I found that we do dock in Puntarenas itself and not in Puerto Caldera.

A big thank you to Jeff and the SM and events people for doing such as great job. It will be great going on this cruise already knowing some of our cruisemates.

We spend our honeymoon at Disneyland -43 years ago and have been Disney fans ever since.

Anyone going from DL to Las Vegas after the cruise?

We will be away for a few days. We are also campers and we are going to a fund raiser for the Make A Wish Foundation which grants wishes to sick children. Last year they raided over $30,000 in CT and helped grant three wishes- all to Disney World.

When we get back on Monday we will make some decisions on some of the excursions mentioned .

Actually, I think that is exactly what I need...would you be able to scan the image on the front of the menu and send it to me? Since I wasn't there, I don't know what it looks like, but I'm hoping it will work for my little project =0)

I hope everyone has a great day today!

Just a quick hi from Barcelona. Having great pre cruise stay. Walked miles in lovely, though humid weather. Beautiful place and we already want to come back.

Keep well.

Sorry no time to read posts since I left. Meeting Lynne(orlandothebeagle) later.

Glad you are OK. The first thing I thought about was San Bruno too - its just up the road from me.
