Along that thought line of anyone at WDW checking in with Jeff the night before, would anyone be willing to do that at Port Canaveral (pretty sure there is a meetup going on there) or the Hyatt (also thought there was a meetup there). And then one person can call or email Jeff with changes or verify the info?

I could do PC if you need it...

Sadly I didn't even get the email (insert sad/pouty face here LOL)

I hope they get them posted soon as I need to do my homework.

There is a spot/link on the DCL site when you log in where you can register to get emails, notifications and updates, did you do that? If so go into your profile and make sure they have the right info.

Love this idea and would love to participate.

The kids school used dotphoto.com last year to upload photos for the school yearbook.

One thing I have noticed about some photo sites is the ability to download is limited (perhaps one photo at a time). dotphoto allows you to download a page of photos at once, but perhaps something else out there is more flexible.

Can you add me to this list please!

Thanks!
Got you two added. Kay, I'll look into dotphoto as well :)

Thanks. It's been very hectic the last 2 months. For those that don't know I umpire Little League baseball. When tournament time comes around, I actually umpire in two districts, which also happen to be in two different sections (Little league hierarchy 101 - local league -> district -> section -> state -> region -> international) so I'm in a lot of demand. I think between around June 1st and July 31st, I umpired about 50 games of baseball. I'm hoping next year will be my call to regionals, which is basically my audition for a World Series job (yes, you can watch me on ESPN or ABC if I make it there).

Good luck next year! Our Little League team is 2 wins away from winning the SW region. If they win this afternoon, they'll be playing another team from Texas for the Regional championship on Thursday. Go Pearland!

We have the DVDs we need for scifi night. And what we don't have in our house my brother has. We have Star Trek (movies), Star Wars (all), Doctor Who (all the new series and some of the classic), Torchwood, BSG, my brother has Red Dwarf and many many more.
I believe the DVD players are US only, but I could be wrong.
All our dvds play everywhere, some in the uk only play in uk, but we always get multiregional players and dvds.
Sadly I didn't even get the email (insert sad/pouty face here LOL)

It is so interesting I have deleted it!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:
It went into my spam and I deleted it by accident, then I couldnt retrieve it, glad I didnt sweat it.
Oh, one more thing...Kay, did you get my PM way back in early July? I have been working on getting lessons for you, but I need some direction on where you want to go. I created a matter unit last year (designed specifically for CA 5th grade standards), that I would be happy to pass on to you. I also have a weather one, not to mention the MILLIONS of lessons we have done for Disney over the last two years (those all have an environmental focus)...Or, I can just send miscellaneous stuff. Just let me know what you need:goodvibes

Hi, Melissa, missed you.

Once I get my 'newbies' settled, I can help Jeff at port. We are at the Radisson the night before, if there is a meet up at that hotel.

Thanks Linda, that will help immensely. Details to follow at a MUCH later date!!!

OMG Carmen, that's incredible. I watched the state games with Jeff and the quality and toughness of that level of LL is incredible. Good luck!

BTW, the only good part to braces (particularly a palate expander) at 32 is wine. Seriously. wth was I thinking?

Thanks!! They won 10-0 today in 4 innings! Thursday, it's an all Texas Regional finals so at least we know we'll have a Texas team represented in the LLWS. It'd be awesome if it's our Pearland boys!!!

Got the DCL email too, went to look at excursions and nothing, nada!!! DCL got in front of themselves again!!:lmao: One hand doesn't know what the other is doing to be sure.

We got the email yesterday and both my sister and I were very excited to see the excursions...how disappointing to find nothing....boohoo! We need to start planning....

I have not been active on the boards, trying to keep up, but not very good at it...I will try to visit the boards more often.

It's been a while since we (my sister and I) have cruise Disney, I think about 7 years...I'm so glad to be back on a Disney Cruise ship again! Thanks for including us on the list...

Did y'all hear the Magic, while doing Europeon trips as of late, rescue'd 18 people the other day? Boat was stranded, the Magic found them at 345 am and rescued them. They got on board, medical help if needed and staterooms! til lthey got off in barcelona. {Guess they weren't running a full ship either}

Share Print Font: +-WINTER PARK, Fla. — The Disney Magic cruise ship rescued more than a dozen people who were stranded at sea.

The ship, which is normally based in Port Canaveral, is spending the summer in Europe.

Early Friday morning, the ship overheard radio traffic of two other vessels searching for a boat in distress, the cruise line said.

Disney said the Magic then decided to join in the search and located the boat almost immediately. Disney said the boat in distress had lost power.

A Disney Cruise Line representative said the ship used one of its rescue boats to get to the 18 stranded boaters.

The 16 men and two women were taken on board the Magic and received medical attention, Disney said. They were then given staterooms, and later disembarked in Barcelona.

I know someone here will know this. What are the requirements to book the back room at Palo for brunch?

Well there is half my question answered, now how do you get it? If need be I will call in a "Conection"

Our TA booked it for us on our cruise last august- I can ask her? (I just sent an email when I hear back I'll let you know)

Oh and Linda I have put in my email and checked my account at DCL I wonder if it's because we aren't PIF and TA made the reservation? (also checked spam box and nada)

For the group Palo booking, one person gathers names, and I think reservation numbers. You then contact the appropriate person, I would have to find out who, with the list and date you want. Allocation is done about a month out I believe, so everyone should still make their individual bookings. Once you get your group booking, all the individual bookings are cancelled by DCL. You can't have both. However, of course, there is always that slight chance you could get another onboard. The large room can be booked for brunch and dinner but not high tea. As someone said 14 people. If people don't turn up at the time you will be charged the fee for the missing people.

Pam, I am the same as you in everything, even the same TA and got the email.

We just hit our 100th stateroom. We're now 11.4% of the boat :)

In other news, If you want to get me a picture, but haven't yet, please do so. E-mail it to me, PM it to me, send me a link to it or whatever.

I'm also going to be in Phoenix the week of the 30th with no car so I'll actually have plenty of time then for working on some of the other cool stuff I want to get done with the cruise site. If anyone has suggestions, please holler. I'm back full time :)

However, of course, there is always that slight chance you could get another onboard.

On a 15 night cruise, I think the chance is better than slight :)

And making friends with the people in Palo goes further than you'll ever know. On one of our Westerns, we split Palo ressies with friends (They got 1 for 4, we got 1 for 4) and dined there on 2 nights. Well, after an argument about what is a better desert wine (Tokaji or Inniskillin - which still isn't settled) we decided to do the only natural thing and head up to the bar at Palo, completely sober to each have a glass of both and debate. When we got there, the maitre d' who we had already struck up a good rapport with on the previous two nights said "Sure, you can do that if you want, but how'd you like to dine with us tonight?"

The obvious answer was "Yes", so we ran back downstairs, threw some jackets on and came back. Well, the real kicker of the story is that our friends tablemates (on a 7 night cruise) had been waitlisted for Palo the entire time. Our friend's had no idea how they were going to explain on the last night of the cruise when they saw them (after the third dinner) that they had been there again :).
