Are any of you interested in organizing a room tour? How it works: Cruisers volunteer to let others visit their cabin and see what the different categories are like. One person organizes the event to make sure we don’t have duplicate categories. So, on a sea day, at an established time, (final time set after other event times are published) starting on the lowest deck, we visit the different category of cabins. It is great fun to parade down the halls meeting each other and getting a real look at those rooms we all take only a quick peak into as we pass an open door. Additionally, it allows us to share cabin living ideas such as use of an over-the-door shoe storage hanger to put all the “stuff” that ends up set everywhere; or printing a few 4x6x pictures each night at Shutters and decorating one wall as the cruise progresses. If enough people are interested, I will try to organize the event. Let me know what you all think. Val

Would be interested in doing the cabin tour. I missed it on the TA because I was doing another activity

We booked transfers from the port to Paradise Pier hotel at DL through Disney. DL is a lot easier to cover than DW. You should be able to see most of it.

Ditto - DL is easy to do but long. However, 1 1/2 days should be easy to so something if not all kiddie types. And since its Jan - might not be too crowded. Wait - Saturday might get a bit but if its raining - that's the best time to go.

Welcome GRLZMOM- It will be great seeing you and your family again. Anxious to hear how your daughter did with the Disney opportunity.

Would love to be part of the champagne girls- keep me posted.

Have to stay awake until midnight to book excursions.

Hi, we are officially joining the cruise.

Me, dh, dd19, dd16, dd14, dd9, dd8 and ds8.

Looking forward to cruising with familiar Dis peeps and to meeting new ones. I see a lot of familiar names from the EBTA/MED and the WBTA.

Glad to have you join us. We are Bob & Val, from San Francisco. If you haven't already so, you might want to look over the first posting in on this thread. There are a number of things being planning to make this an even more wonderful trip. Look forward to cruising with you. Val & Bob

Good luck to everyone booking excursions and Palo tonight. I hope you get everything you want and it goes very quickly for you!:thumbsup2

I just suddenly developed a horrible headache and am taking my migraine medicine and off to bed.

We are leaving at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon for Morgantown for football game so I don't want to feel like I do now, that is for sure!:headache:

Disney Dreams everyone!:cloud9:

My dd just called and her loan for the new house is approved and locked in at 4.375%. I am so excited and can hardly wait to go down there but I will let them get moved in before I invade! Closing is November 16.:cool2:

 Feel Better Harole Ann. We are lookin at getting one at 4.25 which would be awesome if we can get it.

ALSO NOTE: being a latecomer, I booked today some excursions and Palo's and the only Palo's available was on the last sea day - after Cabo. I hope they do what they have in the past and keep some spots open. If not, don't fret, they always reserve a few for on the ship.

Good luck to anyone booking tonight. Lots and lots of :wizard: coming your way.

And KayR quote "Champagne Girls - are you not automatically a champagne girl if you have already attended a meeting? If that is the case you, I and Granmaz are all Champagne Girls (we had a meet on our 9/12/09 cruise which had the Palo Somelier giving us a talk on champagne. It was great fun)."

Kay & Marilyn (AKA Champagne Girls) do you think there is an opportunity to introduce more cruisers to the world of the Champagne Girls? Do the three of us have an obligations to do so? Can we organize a bubbly (alcoholic and non-alcoholic)gala? Do we want to consider contacting DCL about a private champagne tasting or do like the TA cruise and we bring our own bottles to a designated area? Of course tiaras and boas are essential and a designated photographer.
Any interest Girls?
Val

I think we do have an obligation to increase the Champagne Girls club membership :-)

On our cruise, we had the formal tasting session with some interesting information and it cost max $10 per person. One fun bit was that the Sommelier opened a couple of bottles using the sabrage technique.

I guess the question is, do we want to do something like that, or something more casual.

Thoughts ladies.

I can't remember who posted this but i copied and pasted it into an email for myself. I've been doing that cause there's so much info being passed around! so here's what i mailed myself:

We finalized our dinning rotation this AM. We found out:
Formal Nights are nights 3, 14
Simi Formal Night is night 10
Pirate Night is night 11

I am so excited. I just hope everything i want is still there. A pp said that there was hardly any Palo slots left- i know you can book onboard but that is such a pain. I hate to be bothered with changing stuff right when you get onboard, i prefer to go right to the quiet cove pool : ) the last time I had to make a simple change to my Palo ressie I was in line for 1/2 hour and it was so frustrating, everyone in front of me seemed so confused and had no idea what they wanted, and I knew exactly what i needed and was in/out in 2 mins after my name called, just so annoying to spend all that time waiting in line as soon as your vacation starts--although for this trip at 15 nights I suppose a short wait time wont kill me ; )

Finally! Being in Australia is an advantage! I'm sitting here looking out onto the ocean waiting until 3pm...

This trying to stay up past midnight is really for the birds! Hey wait---I think the birds are asleep:lmao:

I will be extremely CRUSHED if Palo isn't available for dinner on my birthday:sad1: Oh well, I'll just have to type with my fingers (and toes) crossed:)
