From VWL to OKW

Was just able to transfer a 2br from VWL to OKW less than 4 months out. All hope is not lost yet. With a massive savings of 52 points, guess I have to plan another trip.

Even though my home is VWL, my heart belongs to Old Key West.

Can't wait go back home.

DH says that now that he's seen OKW, his only regret is that we didn't wait for a resale there rather than buying in to VWL.

OKW is such a bargain. We switched our March 2003 trip over to there. After 1 night at BCV (so grandma can see it!) we are headed over to OKW. Points wasn't the reason but the savings sure will be great! I hope to use some of those saved points at HIlton Head next summer.

To the 2 Simbas,
If you prefer OKW why not sell your VWL memberships and buy a resale at OKW? You will break even or maybe even make a profit on the VWL membership and be able to buy a OKW membership for less money & be at the resort you prefer. We recently sold one of our OKW contracts and it took a while to sell and it sold for less than a VWL membership would have. We have another OKW contract we are considering selling, to buy either a BCV membership or another BWV resale or maybe a VWL resale. We currently own contracts at OKW, BWV and HH. Our remaining OKW contract is for 380 pts, we would jump on the chance to sell it for a contract of equal points at BWV, BCV or VWL, if we did not have to pay any additional money, but from the information we have gotten from various resale places, the chances of this are slim to none. We bought 2 OKW contracts when DVC first came about, then bought HH, then sold 1 OKW contract and bought a BWV resale. We found our OKW contracts had the lowest marketable value and they did not have borrowed points!
