Any suggestions will help greatly...
We will be arriving in Sanford the morning of July 29th and will be returning home on Aug 6th in the evening. We are staying at The Pop Century. In the past we have used our rental cars rarely. Since I have not stayed at a Value Resort before I don't know if I will be using my car more. Any comments?
Should I go for the rental car, I will have it more than a week or should I opt for TownCar Service?

Thanks

I would recommend a rental car for several reasons. First, Sanford is a lot further away from WDW than MCO so the transfer rates are quite a bit more. Look at all the rates both ways and that will give you a good idea.

Do you have kids? If you do not, especially if you do not, you will HATE being at the values with no car. There are TONS of screaming kids and the buses are so loud and so packed. Usually there are 3 bus loads waiting at a time. Even people with kids don't always tolerate other people's kids screaming. It will be hot, and everyone will be a little more cranky and it will be very packed.

Sorry if I painted an unDisney like picture, but IMHO I would not stay at the values without the car.

Here's what we did..although we stayed at CBR.
We flew into Sanford, rented a car (got a great deal of $19.99) and drove to CBR, stopping for groceries on the way. After setteling in we then drove to the Dolphin and dropped the car off. On the day we left DH went to the Dolphin (they pick you up) and picked up the car again and we spent the day at DTD and some of the outlets prior to going to Sanford.
Total cost with gas was about $50
