From Royal Pacific to Downtown Disney

Hi Everyone,

We're going to Universal Studios in the fall and we would like to spend one good part of a day at Downtown Disney. Is the only way to get there from the Royal Pacific by taxi? I saw a bus at one of the Disney resorts, taking the people to Universal for the day. That doesn't go back and forth during the day, right?

I have never heard of a Universal bus taking people away from Disney. That just will never happen. There may have been a Universal advertisement on the side of a city bus.

You can take a limo or Mears or a taxi.

There is no shuttle between Disney and Universal, unfortunately. You can rent a car (I believe Hertz is available in each resort), taxi, or public transportation (city bus). Thinking out loud, if you can get a good rate on a rental car, that may be your best option. A taxi from Universal to Disney will run you at least $20 each way.

if you are staying at disney, you can call the mears shuttle that does daily runs to universal.

you need to call the night before you plan to go from disney to universal parks.

you are picked up at your hotel and dropped off at universal.

the times the shuttle runs is not the best. i believe they have 2 different times for the morning and 2 for the evening.

cost last year was $14 rt per person.
if you have 2 or more in your party that wants to spend the day at universal, it is cheaper to use a taxi or rent a car.
after you add in the parking if you rent a car, you would be better off using the taxi or car service. that way, you can pick your own times for transportation.

one note, if you do a taxi, do not travel in rush hour times.
miles and time in the taxi determine your charge.
