On the way to Magic Kingdom. Brooklnn and I left there after midnight last night! We saw the parade and some of the fireworks. Rode Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Magic Carpets

Sounds like you guys are having a GREAT time! But I have a question for you...how the heck can you manage to stay there till Midnite and manage Rope Drop in the A.M? Beats Me!!! Have a safe trip back...last day stinks! We all know that! But of course you all have October to look forward to! ((((((((((((((to MeMom (limpalong)...as you referred to her by...I can picture my kiddos calling me that, too !))))))))))))))))

BTW, we booked a trip on a whim to AKV/BCV for the week before Labor Day thru the holiday weekend! Cannot wait! BTW, anyone here that time? Maybe a fun dismeet can be organized?

Texted MeMom to wish them a safe trip and got this reply from her:

"A bit of an adventure earlier. Tell you later. We are at the airport now."

Seems they are on their way. Boo to that, but looks like we have a good story (or 2, or 3...) to hear about.

I have to go back and start reading at the beginning here. We were in WDW when you started this and I'm just starting to get caught up with everything now.

It was truly such a pleasure to meet MeMom and Brooklynn who were so very sweet to come meet us at MK, in a downpour! Sad that I didn't get to meet Jill and Bella, but I totally understood why you didn't make it out. We'll do it again some other time. Also bummed about missing the OKW meet with Stace208 and Dancinprincess. It was our last day and the girls just didn't want to leave MK and we had some FP's so we ended up staying later than originally planned; MeMom told me it was a nice group.

Safe travels today! Can't wait to hear about all the adventures!!!

Good morning, DIS friends! We got here to my house last night about 9:15. The girls were put straight to bed, and Jill and John ran out to Jill's beloved Cracker Barrel to eat. I got a shower and crashed, because I have to be at church this morning for camp-related tasks.

The weather was good to us up until the last three days, when the cloud cover disappear and the Florida sun baked everything in its glow. We had just a little rain off and on during the first few days, but most of that was drizzle. We definitely have no complaints about the weather during our stay.

We had a good mix of coming and going. I went separately with each of the girls some, Jill and John went alone some, etc. We just played it by the moment. We did what ws feeling right, and when anyone felt like it was time to go back to the room or change gears from playing in the parks to resting or swimming, we did. It really was the best of the long trips that we have had in that area.

We got to see Trent sporadically. A couple of days he was off, and a few more days he would come over for a while between his work hours. He was able to eat at Chef Mickey's and Boma with us. The last night, when we had planned to meet to watch MSEP on the train station with some of you guys, he was able to come over for several hours, but he wanted to just eat dinner at Pop out by the kiddie pool and be with us, so we ended up skipping that meet. There were tearful goodbyes again, but he plans to fly to Huntsville for Brooklynn's birthday in August, so it shouldn't be long before we see him again, if all goes well.

We had some awesome DIS meets. Everyone we met was so sweet and just down-to-earth nice. It was great to get to talk with you face to face.

We have much catching up to do. It's back to the real world now running hard. I have two school workshops this week and lots of camp things to do. Jill and John go back to work tomorrow. Unpacking will happen over a few days or maybe longer, for me anyway. Jill and I talked about getting a Purple Locker to help with easing the travel load. We may do that in October. If Trent ends up staying down there and getting a house someday, we can just leave some things with him and not have to lug them back and forth.

Gotta go get ready for church. I hope to spend some DIS time later this afternoon checking in with all of your reports.

Welcome home! Getting back to reality is always a little depressing!

I definitely recommend Owner's Locker! We have 2 now, although I may try to get it down to one in Oct! It really eases the load especially with kiddos! I'm also a big fan of shipping stuff down before the trip!

Anyway, can't wait to hear all the details!
