Well I am just glad you got there! Iam sure it was a long seemingly never ending day into night, but a happy ending was getting to Disney I am sure! The rooms look nice! I have never been to Pop, but with all your photos these past TRs I feel like I have

We didn't let it put a damper on our excitement for too long.

You should visit Pop someday just to feel the energy out at the Hippy Dippy Pool and see the shadow boxes in the lobby.

Surprisingly, she didn't really go on and on about this fall like she has been known to do. I guess it was the excitement of heading to Disney World!

So happy you've gotten started with this TR! I also enjoyed following along on FB. It seemed like the 10 days went by so fast! I couldn't believe when it was time for you to come home already. I am sure it seemed even faster for you.

I hope we get refurbished rooms when we are at POP next month!

I wish I ws going to Pop next month. And the next month and the next. I think one trip a month would be perfect.

I'm a little dissapointed that we may not get a refurb room since I have requested one in the 50's. Lexi wanted Lady & the Tramp.

Great calendar! I am so glad your trip is almost here. You have certainly waited a long time. Jill took Pokemon pictures for Lexi when she and John ate at LeCellier and then walked around World Showcase. Hopefully, she can get those up for you soon and Lexi can enjoy them before you leave.

It wasn't pleasant getting to the airport and finding out the flight was nearly two hours late, but we just went and ate supper and let the girls play on the playground. It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. I was just worried they would postpone the flight until the next day!

There was one more room then it was the corner towards the elevators and stuff. That's so funny you were just down from us!

Let me know if you find out what this is, I have the same exact thing!! I've been wearing Teva mush sandals a lot and it seems to help, also some Earth sandals. If I wear anything with a hard sole it really starts hurting after a while! I can't imagine how bad your feet hurt after 10 days!! I can't take more than 2 or 3!

I think I will do some Googling and self-diagnose. I can barely stand to put pressure on it when I first stand up, especially in the morning. I have heard so many good things about Tevas. I may have to check those out.

By Day Seven, I was slowing down big time.

I just love it that Brooklynn wanted you to scold the cat! I'm sure she did take that all in and it helped the pain quite a bit!

awww poor brooklyn! So cute that she was sooo excited but boo for her ****oos! She looked like she was ok at the airport though! And that Bella is just too adorable! It was a wonderful vacation. I am ready to pack up and go back. We're thinking of meeting Trent in Atlanta near his birthday, then we'll be back in WDW in October. After that, unless there is a miracle of some sort, it will be March before we are there again.

Your boo boo got censored, too. Isn't that kind of funny?

yay for arriving! At least arrival brings plenty of excitement that perhaps it covers up the un-magicalness of how it worked out!

Do you happen to know which sections of POP have been refurbed? My brother is going next month and I should pass on that info in case they want to make a request.

I think they started in the 90's and are working their way down. I think he would be safe in asking for an 80's or 90's building, 70's and 60's could be iffy, and I don't think they have made it to the 50's at all. Someone else may know more than I do.

I was checking the park hours during my trip to see if they made any changes and I noticed the closing of Toy Story Mania for the referb doesn't start until Aug.16th.....so we will be able to ride it after all on the 15th!!

I will have to do some changes with our plans, but I think it's so worth it!

If we are there for rope drop... what are our chances of getting on first thing in the morning?

If you are at rope drop you should be able to walk right on and then when you get off grab fastpasses for later that afternoon!

I loved the FB updates, but now I'm ready to read all the details of your trip. I couldn't believe when I read on FB that night that y'all were coming home---I couldn't believe it had been 10 days!

Saw the pic of Bella asleep in the airport, but I loved seeing it again. It cracks me up.

I have to agree about sitting on a ME bus for 45 minutes is not so great, especially when you're tired and ready to get to bed. Speaking of which, 3 hours of sleep after the travel, and late arrival???

I followed y'all over from Anita's report. I sat down tonight and read all 40 pages, in between walking the dogs. Loved every minute of it.

Poor Brooklyn with her skinned knee, but she did recoup well. The pictures at the airport are so sweet, both girls in the pjs and then later when the fell asleep. So sorry for the delay and late arrival. Shame on the ME driver! He could have at least welcomed everyone and said her was sorry for the long wait on the bus. No tips for him!

I'm glad it is going to work out for you. I didn't ride Toy Story this time. Jill and Brooklynn did that late one evening while I went on to try to get a place for us at Fantasmic. I like the ride, but I don't love it like Jill does. It is one of her very favorites.

If you are there at rope drop, you'll be fine, as Jill said. You should be able to ride twice with no problem.

I briefly thought about washing a load at Pop down at the pool washers this time, since I was coming right back into camp business, but then I decided I was having too much fun playing to do any laundry.

I apologize for the dates and times on the pictures. The hour is wrong anyway. I didn't realize it was set to show dates, and John discovered it later in the trip, so eventually, the dates will disappear.

It was a bit humid as I walked around that first morning.

My first thought was to go see if there was activity going on across the lake.

There was.

It will be fun to watch the progress of the Animation Inn & Suites (official name?) on our October, March, and next summer trips.

I only took a few pictures outside.

I didn't stay outside long, because I had a second important mission, and that was to find something for Dawn to put on a shelf in Seth's room. She wanted something Disney that had 2010 on it.

If you have never been to Pop Century, you might not know that it has a very large gift shop. If you have been there, you can probably easily picture yourself walking up to this right now.

Let's go inside and see what we find!

2010 merchandise was front and center.

From what Dawn had described that she wanted, I felt like the little Mickey statue would be a good choice.

Someone wanted pictures of first trip t-shirts.

They started at 2T, though, which would have been a blanket for Bella on her first trip!

A gift for the future executive.

They had these retro style t-shirts in many different colors.

On the last day, I ended up getting a green one for myself and a pink one for our friend, Kay, who was coming by to check on Drew and the house. I also got one of the new 'Por Favor' monorail shirts, and I got Jarvis one of those, as well. He was also coming by the house to check on Drew and the cat. I wanted to be sure Drew wasn't having a houseful of people over here while I was gone, so I put more than one person on guard. Fortunately, I got good reports. He had people over to play cards, but other than that, all was well.

I'm so happy to see some work being done on the new resort. I had a guy in my office last month that was the project manager for the jukebox and the rubics cubes when they were building Pop. I was amazed to find they were built by a company across the Mississippi from Baton Rouge. He doesn't work there anymore but still knows people I'm hoping to find out if they will be building anything for the new resort.

Love the early morning pictures. Everything looks so fresh and new. And of course the shopping pictures! I would love to get my hands on some of the stuff.

Thanks for starting my day with Disney shopping. Pop Century has the best gift shop of all the resorts. Plus I love that they open so early, and stay open late.

It is great they have started on the new value, but I wished they had stayed with the generational theme. It would have bee fun to see what they came up with in the 10's-40's, but I am sure families will enjoy the animation theme.

I love seeing the new construction across the lake. I think the new resort sounds AMAZING!

Thanks for the shopping pictures! the boys and I enjoyed them inmensely! Doug was picking out the many things he'd like to get. He also informed me that he thinks going in 2010 is a great idea. I told him that his daddy and I would have to think about whether 2010 or 2011 would work better for us.
