Ouch! not a good start but a start none the less. I have walked into a few hotel rooms over the years but there is nothing like seeing a Disney room.

Oh, poor Brooklynn! I went over to feed and take out Charles's dogs last night and the "puppy" (really he's almost two) has an identity crisis and thinks he is a cat; he likes to weave around your legs and dart in front of you while you're walking, so he tripped me in the kitchen and I nearly went face first into the edge of the counter. I am sure the neighbors thought I was being unkind because I shouted his name when that happened and when I had the other dog out, you could hear Jack from inside the house whining because he needed to go out, too, but I just couldn't handle those two dogs at once. I think it's hilarious that my cat-hating boyfriend ended up with a dog that thinks he is a cat, but he doesn't get as much amusement out of it as I do

The refurbished room looks soooo nice! And I love how Bella fell asleep, that is so cute!

Poor Brooklyn....that's not a fun way to start a trip to Disney. Sorry to hear about the struggles on your way to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Here's hoping that the rest of your trip was not so troublesome, and I've seen the pics on Facebook so I'm thinking it all worked out!!!

What a very UNmagical beginning after a scrapped knee, a delayed flight and a meh ME driver!

I know it's only gotta improve, so I'm looking forward to that!

I haven't seen the pics of the refurbs rooms at Pop, they look great! Is the comforter a real comforter instead of the itchy cover thing? They look soft and cozy!

Love that pic of Bella crashed at the airport, so cute!

It does get better. The beginning was not so great and the end was a bit scary, but the in-between was just right.

I took the cover off the bed and never put it back on. I always fold it and put it up on the closet shelf for the duration of the trip. I didn't feel the inside to see if it was soft or itchy, but I do know what you are talking about with the old ones. It was the cover-tyoe, though, that fits down over the bed.

I'm sorry the trip started off on an unmagical note, but I bet it made you appreciate the future magic that much more.

I am sure the nickname Limpalong came with plenty of love! Seeing the pictures of the sleeping girls just melts my heart. What darlings!!!

Yes, she was usually laughing when she called me Limpalong.
But, I was limping along, so I can't fault her.

I missed seeing my girlie girls this morning.

Boo to an UNmagical start. I'm sure the trip got better and better though.

My Mom just had knee surgery on Thursday, maybe I should start calling her limpalong too.

She may do better than I did with her knee. I have other problems beside just the knee. My leg swells because of the removed lymphnodes, my right foot has a bone sticking out of the side (I forget what you call it), and the ball of my left foot feels liked it is bruised all the time. I think that could be from not walking right on the other foot. I'm just a mess when it comes to walking.

Hurray for the start of your trip although it was not a very auspicious beginning between the skinned knees, the delayed flight, and the Unmagical Express driver!

I can't wait to see what Mickey and Minnie have to say about everything while they were holding down the fort at Pop!

Bella pulling her suitcase around and then konking out is too cute!!! I don't blame Brooklyn for falling asleep in her stroller -- I would have wanted to do the same thing!

When I write my note to Disney, as I always do to tell the good and the few bad moments we had, I will tell about the Magical Express driver. He could have added a little bit of joy to a very dreary trip with just a few sentences of welcoming us and turning the TV up loud enough for us to hear it.

Bella loves to pull and push that suitcase around!

You are right. The first sight of your Disney room is a good one. I take pictures quickly, before it gets things strewn about.

I wanted to swipe the poster that was by my bed. It had all the stuff from the 80's that my kids grew up with.

Brooklynn wanted me to be sure I scolded the cat for tripping her. I certainly did do that. That took her mind off the scraped knee a bit as she focused on listening to me fuss at the cat.

Yes, after the blaah start, it was all pretty good. The flight delay couldn't be helped because it was weather-related. The bus driver could have done better. The cat tripping Brooklynn was just an accident. We had a great time, and I have many pictures to prove it.

Welcome home! So glad you all made it safely back. I read about your troubles through FB. It really puts a damper on things when they don't go smoothly on vacation. I think that is especially true at Disney b/c we all have such high expectations of magical things. It's too bad though that the driver was rude. Their job is one of the most important since they are the first CM you encounter on your trips. I know you guys didn't let it ruin the magic for you for long though!

Can't wait to read about the rest of the trip. It was fun following along in "real time"! And I was so glad to hear that you had lots of precious, glorious clouds! What a life saver! And glad you had some time with Trent! Should be a fun read as always!

I enjoyed following on FB Sorry the start was so unmagical

Last weekend we had a cookout and Josh had a little pool set up for Kazin since it was about 100 degrees(I don't think it's been that hot here in his life). He had a bucket and he kept filling it, dumping the water on himself, and then putting the empty bucket on his head Jeremy called a few days ago and he said they're coming down this weekend I can't wait to see them

Whoa! I am overwhelmed by this Pop refurbishment that I only vaguely remember hearing about but obviously forgot because... whoa! Are they doing this to every room? I am surprised. The carpet is cool looking. But I will miss the old bedspreads. Not that they were particularly gorgeous, or anything, but you know... they were POP. Oh well.

And, oh gosh what adorable little kids. Bella is so funny running around the airport with her little suitcase! Too cute. Sorry Brooklynn had a fall but i'm sure she forgot about it soon enough
