From Poly, should we walk to TTC for bus to MGM?

We are staying CR and having breakfast at Kona then heading to MGM.

I have taken the bus from Poly to MGM back in 2003 and it was not a fun experience.

Would it be easier to catch one at TTC?

Any thoughts,

Not sure what the problem with your poly bus trip was, but we have taken that ride many times and never had a problem? The bus depot is new as of last year and is to the left of the great ceremonial house (toward TTC) just go our front entrance and turn left walk a short distance. The mgm bus stops here after it has gone to CR, and it goes on to GF then to mgm. This is the usual circle of pick ups. I would much rather take the poly bus or any of these pick ups (cr, gf) then walk to ttc for exactly the same thing.

Good luck, Mky princess:

I don't think that there are any buses that run from the TTC anymore. You're only other choice if you are dead set against taking the bus from Poly would be to take either the boat or monorail to the MK and then take a bus to MGM. You are probably better off just dealing with the bus from the Poly as the MK route will easily add 20-30 minutes on to the trip.

Assuming you just make all your connections...

Monorail makes a stop at GF... I have never seen them just stop open the doors, board passengers and go... figure at least 5 minutes till you leave the GF. 5 minutes later you are at the monorail exit... now you have to walk clear across the from of the MK to catch a bus.. maybe another 5 minutes... already you have added 15 minutes on to the trip. If you just miss the monorail and just miss the buss another 15 minutes can easily be added before you are even on your way to MGM.

TTC bus to MGM isn't going to be any quicker than the Poly bus.

Ignore that! I keep forgetting no more TTC buses!

Are there buses for Epcot and MGM and AK/water parks from the TTC? I thought it was only monorail and boats to MK and monorail to Epcot.

There are indeed buses from the TTC to AK and MGM. They run every 20 minutes.

You could also take the monerail to the TTC get off and transfer to the Epcot monerail (you have to have a Park Hopper Pass to do it) and then take the boat to MGM from Epcot. A CM told me that this is faster than the bus.

Really, this has to be close to the worst possible route. It is much faster to walk to the TTC than to take the monorail all the way around the circuit. It is correct that you need admission media to walk through Epcot to catch the boat at the IG. But this would be a very time consuming way to get to MGM.

There is a bus from the front of Epcot to MGM. No Hopper needed.

But it would be easiest to catch the MGM bus from either the Poynesian or the TTC. I don't know how frequent the MGM buses are from the Polynesian but every 20 minutes from the TTC isn't bad.

Thank you.. thank you for sharing all this infos! Since I am not anticipating that there will be any problems from the Poly... I can just take the bus to MGM without much problem correct? Or should I take the monorail to Epcot and then take the bus to MGM... which way is easier?

Thanks for all the detailed info!!!

I was just a little gunshy after our last trip to MGM from Poly.

Seems like it took forever for the bus to come and people would push to the front of the line.

We'll have to see what happens.
