From Park to Resort, when do buses start?

Like the title says: When do the buses start running FROM the parks TO the resorts? I keep reading that, even though buses are running from resorts to parks early, they won't be running from parks to resorts that early.

I haven't entirely given up on a Boma breakfast next time, but not if I have to take a cab (sorry, I have no experience with them) or throw myself on the mercy of an AK bus driver. (I'll be at POFQ.)

It varies. There is just no way to tell, for sure, how long it would take to get a bus to a specific resort from a park early in the morning. Here is what I would do...I would either try to get an ADR for late morning, on an EMH morning at AK, and then just take the bus to AKL 25 mins before the ADR. That would give you a couple of hours in the park then break for 'brunch'.
Or, get an early ADR and plan on being at the AK bus stop at least an hour before the ADR. When you get on the bus to AK, you can ask the bus driver how long a wait it will be for the bus to AKL at AK. The driver may very well offer to drop you off at AKL on his way to or from AK.

Buses are available for guests making connections or who forgot their tickets and have to go back to their resorts. A dispatcher is supposed to notice who is waiting at the various berths and make it look like a 20 minute headway to those guests. But I suggest seeking out the dispatcher and going through the motions of making a request for a bus back to a resort if it is before 11 AM.

Due to mileage saving routing optimizing done ca. 10 years ago, buses do not run like clockwork back to every resort from every park during the morning rush.

Thanks for the replies. ::sigh:: I think what I really need is a "Cabs 101 for Dummies" class to get over that hangup.

Thanks for the idea - that had crossed my mind as an option.

In the interest of just getting a buffet breakfast somewhere, I've also thought of forgetting Boma for now and going back to Captain's Grille at the YC (did that a bunch in 2012 when I was at BC and loved it). I'd be doing it on an EMH morning at DHS and figure I could catch the boat there or walk if needed.

You should have no trouble getting a bus from DAK to AKL in the a.m.

Many of the buses dropping guests at DAK continue on to AKL to pick up for another park. And, as stated by a PP, if you stand in the queue for AKL (which is literally right in front of the dispatcher's booth), the dispatcher will make sure you are picked up.

You should allow 1 hour for travel time (unless BB will be opening in less than hour, in which case 90 minutes), and let the bus driver know that you are going to the Lodge.

Oh, don't miss Boma!! It's a wonderful breakfast. Just take the bus to AK and ask the driver about getting to AKL!!! You'll be glad you did.
