From Orlando to Siesta Key??

We are planning leaving our Orlando timeshare and spending two nights Tue/Wed @ the beach in Siesta Keys.

How is the drive?
I was wondering what time would be best to beat all traffic from Orlando down the stretch of 1-4 to I believe 72, or should I do one of the alternates routes?

Any input truly appreciated. Brenda

This is a super easy drive. Take 4 to 75 south.

Allow about 1 1/2- 2 hours. I would wait until after 9am and not be driving around 5 pm if your worried about traffic. I make this drive often and really unless there is an accident there is rarely traffic.
