From MCO to Saratoga Springs to Universal...best way?

My friend and I are coming down for a long weekend this Friday (CAN'T WAIT). First order of priority is to get her a margarita at Jimmy Buffet's! (we both just turned 40 she has a 1 yr old at home....ya know...Mom's weekend away) We are flying in in the afternoon, need to get to SSR to drop off luggage then make our way to the adirondack chairs in front of Buffets....what is the best way to do that?
I was going to do the Mears shuttle but then I have to wait for others and then may have to hit thier resorts first...price is cheap but not sure it is worth my time...I am thinking of grabbing a cab when we land having them take us to the hotel handing the luggage to the bell hops jumping back in the cab heading to Universal?
Any advice would be great!

A cab 1 WAY to Saratoga from MCO is around 50, another 30 or so to universal 1 way not including tip.

Mears is 68 RT from MCO for 2 and 28 RT to universal for 2.

The cab would be quicker, it's time vs. money.
