From Epcot to MK

During our upcoming February trip, we will be spending a day at Epcot and then going to MK for MSEP. We will likely end our Epcot time in the World Showcase. Should we head back to the main entrance and use the monorail? Is there a better way using the International Gateway? Thanks.

I don't know which one is better, but you could exit the International Gateway and walk to Beach Club (the closest resort) and take the MK bus from there.

I'd probably go with the monorail, not knowing what sort of wait you might have for a bus late in the day - but it would be my luck that the monorail would break down.

If you want to go in at the International Gateway you could take a bus from MK to either Yacht/Beach Club or Boardwalk and get on a boat to IG

When we stay at the Beach Club, even to get to MK from the resort we walk through Epcot and take the monorail. We'd rather walk through Epcot than be sitting on a bus. We usually grab a beverage in UK, take our time walking and people watching, and are just about finished it when we reach the exit.

If time matters, I'd probably head over to the BC and take the bus to MK (no transfers and the buses don't seem all that bad getting to the parks). If you're worried about the bus filling up, I'd head either to the Boardwalk or Yacht Club. In my experience, they usually pick-up first (although it might vary by day or time of day).

If not, then the monorail is the more "fun" of the two options. Just remember, if you take the monorail, you have to transfer at the TTC.

Remember that on weekdays thru March 2014, during the middle of the day, the monorails between TTC and MK will not be running.

I am glad you mentioned the monorail closure....I did not think it affected the TTC to MK route.....I thought only the monorails to resorts are affected

No, it's the entire MK monorail circuit...both the express and resort monorails. Only the Epcot monorail loop will be running as usual.

So if you go between 11:30 and 7 on a weekday, you could take the monorail as far as TTC, then the ferry boat to MK.

2 alternate methods:

Walk out to the Beach Club and take a bus to MK.

See if they have a bus to the Contemporary from Epcot. They might, with the monorail down. Take that bus and walk to MK from the Contemporary.

How much time should I allow from exiting Epcot to entering MK if I take monorail to TTC then ferry to MK? It will be the Thursday afternoon/evening before Presidents' Day week. THANKS!
