We will be out there in a couple weeks--staying at CSR and we will have our own vehicle. Party of 4--2 kids and 2 parents.
We want to visit Epcot Tuesday morning, and we have ADRs at TRex at 2:00 pm

What is the best way to do this, and what time do we start to leave Epcot to do it?

1) Use Disney transportation--leave Epcot via International Gateway, go the Beach Club to catch a bus to DTD

2) Drive our own vehicle to Epcot in the morning and drive ourselves to DTD for our ADR (is the parking still a nightmare in the middle of the day?)

3) Use Disney transportation to get from CSR to Epcot in the morning and catch a cab to go to DTD--and if this option, do we catch a cab from Epcot, or are there more cabs available at Beach club? Any rough idea on the cost?

FWIW-we have no plans for the rest of the day after our ADR--we may go back to our resort and swim...we may hang out at DTD a while...we may go to a park...we are intentionally leaving this time "open."

Thanks!

Any of these would work. I think it mostly depends on what you do after DTD. I can tell you that I have gotten a cab outside the Epcot main entrance without problem, so I wouldn't go to the Beach Club for that unless you are close to the IG exit already. You really don't need to spend taxi fare with so many other choices.

Other options include bus to SSR and walk or bus to PO and take boat. If you plan to do any shopping at DTD it might be nice to have your car there though.

Personally I would allow 90 minutes because you may have a bit of a walk once at DTD. My DH would say that much time is not needed :)

Find someplace else to eat? (Seriously, the traffic to DTD is a NIGHTMARE lately!) The parking garage will probably not be full when you get there, but the getting there is the fun part.....

As a result I would go with 1 or 3.

A related question, is it any better to go the 'back way', following the route the bus takes by the Old Key West road? We'll be at Board Walk with ressies at Raglan Road on Halloween night, we usually just drive up the boulevard to DTD but the last 2 trips were pretty bad around the area. At least we won't have to park at Cirque to get a space.
