From DVC to DCL

No.

Magical Express only serves MCO. DCL offer a resort transfer service. It is bookable, and has a cost. However, transfer to Port from MCO is also a fee-service (same fee).

We have always did a one way car rental or a private van ( group) when going from WDW to Port Canaveral.

For instance, we have a van in May for transport to PC. A van which will hold 4 adults and our luggage costs under $90. It's Avis and we pick it up at the Hilton the day before. They provide a shuttle to the port from their PC location.

It's 35 dollars a person one way. You said nearly 300 just from their resort to cruise. That is 140 dollars for 4 people. There is other cheaper options available for a family of four.

You can always rent a car. I did it last month and round trip it was less than $150 (two one day rentals).

Where did you rent the cars from? Is the depot near the cruise port?

Yes, the rental agencies are nearby. They will shuttle you (free) to the ship and back to get a new car.

I rented from Alamo (national is good too)...they have a free shuttle from port to their front desk. The reason I went with them was that they have car rental return at the dolphin (and near the transportation center in wdw) and I was staying at the boardwalk. Easiest car return I've ever had. Just tell valet at dolphin and done. Let me know if you need more info.

we use a taxi from fl tours. Costs similar to DCL Transport for 4 people. WE have done this a few times from WDW and back.

Same here. We always use Disney DCL transportation. We stay the night before at the MCO Hyatt and there is a ship checkin desk there where you can check in and get your boarding pass before ever going to the port. Very convenient. It's worth it for just the two of us.

You didn't say that. Yes it's 280 round trip.

Can't think of any cruise line that will transport you to port free from airport or hotel. All part of the total costs involved. It's a business they charge what the market will bear.

What is robbery is the cruise I just priced out in an inside cabin for next summer double CC dip...2 pp, $3,500. Ouch, no thank you. Thrilled I was able to hop on the last minute Fantasy addition this May that has done nothing but increase in price.

We prefer to rent a car and park in the garage @ the port. There is offside parking that's more reasonable. We manage to cut back on something else related to the trip as it's a priority for us. Others drop the car & deal with rental shuttle @ port Canaveral.

You could take ME to airport, then use the cheaper independent shuttles that run to the pier.

For a family of four would think you could arrange a towncar/limo in the area of $300 but haven't priced out lately.

The only reason WDW offers free transportation is to keep guests & their $ onsite, the cost is basically absorbed in the overal cost of your vacation. If they were losing $ on it, it would've been surcharged or eliminated entirely long ago.

One can always vote with their feet (and $$$) and not go. If they included free transfers or parking, it'd be included in the price so everyone would pay more proportionally.
