What time would you leave The Contemporary to get to an 8 am breakfast at Epcot? I would like to be at the Epcot gates by 7:45.
Also would it be best to use the monorail? Or another way? Thank you!!

i would leave 7-7:15ish. Ticket and trans is just on stop over 5 min then get on the epcot line that takes about 20 mins... sometimes you can wait for a monorail for 10 mins.

I'd actually like to follow up on your question, looking for a definitive answer.

This seems like it could be a weakness with Disney Transportation. Although the Resort Monorail begins at 7 (from what I understand), the Epcot line doesn't run until an hour before park opening (again, just my understanding). It would be nice if they ran a bus to Epcot in the absence of the monorail, but I don't think there is one.

A Monorail Resort to Epcot before the monorail opens- I've wondered if this is possible, outside of taking a cab.

EDIT: Ok, I just read an earlier thread. Apparently there is a bus from TTC to Epcot if the monorail isn't running yet!

Was wondering if people ever just do a cab to Epcot from GF instead of the longish monrail TTC transfer, which looks like it could take up to 45 min if unlucky.

The 7 am start is only a minimum, they usually start about 6:30 to accommodate the 8 am ressies at Polynesian, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, etc.

You won't find anything "rock solid", but you will be fine. For an 8 am reservation I would standing at the monorail deck at 7 am and you will likely have plenty of time, BUT I prefer to be early than late.

We just did this last week. 8am Akershus. When you get to the TTC, the rep there will tell you the standard "it doesn't run till 8am" line. But then they go and start it at 7:30 anyways. Just hop a CR monorail around 7:15. You'll get to the TTC by 7:25 and on the first monorail of the day at 7:30, getting you to the EC gates by approx your desired time. The guy on the Epcot line told me flat out they make sure to run them early enough to get ppl there for their 8am's even tho it's not published that way.

Thank you! I was hoping they would provide transportation for the early dining ressies. Appreciate it!

We originally thought to take a quick cab ride, but we have a group of 8 so might not be as easy as I thought. I'm sure there are lots of people who do it.
