From Cast Member to Annual Passholder! Updated 03/14/16

Congratulations on getting your name tag! Must be such a cool moment to see the tag with your name on it :thumbsup2

I believe that in the past Traditions was 3 days and now only 1 - see some speculation from people that that is one reason some CMs aren't as great as they used to be .... did you think 1 day was enough? (no worries if you'd rather not comment)

:earsgirl: I got tears in my eyes when I saw your nametag, totally feeling your excitement!! And for some reason I can't get the emoticons to show up anywhere but at the beginning of my post lol
"Disney University" sounds so cool....I take it obviously its on property. Can you divulge where they hide it? No worries if not! I'll just have to talk one of my boys into working for Disney after college and then guilt them into telling me........(insert whistling/roll eyes emoticon here)............

Had no idea you used to be a neighbor! We're in CO as well, same area. Glad you started with getting all the beginning orientation -- must be nice to be underway!

Wow, looks like a great start to your Disney career. My dd is hoping to do the college program in the future so hearing about your actual career there is so helpful. We will be there in April and maybe we will see you at the Epcot Starbucks. Enjoy reading your reports. Good Luck!

Reading.........ahhhh so good. :flower1::flower1:

Thanks for reading! :flower1:

It is amazing to have that nametag! I definitely think that 1 day for Traditions itself was enough. The following orientation days cover even more about The Walt Disney World Resort and what it means to be a Cast Member! :cool1:

These past few days I have been so emotional! From getting my nametag, anytime they play a Walt Disney quote, and walking down Main Street for the first time in 3 years... It's all so touching and wonderful!

It's definitely on property, I can't divulge the exact location, but it's near the Magic Kingdom! :thumbsup2
Yay for your name tag! Sounds like a magical day!:genie:
Thank you! It was very magical! pixiedust:
Love the name tag. I would want to wear it all the time lol
It's hard not to want it wear it all the time! I'm just so proud of it! :cutie:

It's a small, small world! It's nice to have some of the classes under my belt!

Day 12 (02/04/2015) !

Today was a wonderful day! I had Orientation from 7:30am- 4:00 pm. It was such a pleasure to learn all about the Food and Beverage team!! I am so excited to join such a hard working team, and even though I know it will be hard work, I am looking so looking forward to this challenge and being the best that I can be!

After Orientation I headed straight for the Magic Kingdom. I was about to see NEW FANTASYLAND FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!

The Tangled Bathrooms were so beautiful!

First Dole Whip in 3 years!

Just a hint about meeting Gaston... If you are there right at 5:00pm when his meet and greet is scheduled the character attendant will not let you in line. If I had a guess there were about 30 people there to meet him, and after that no more people were allowed in line. (And that was around 4:45 pm) I got there at 4:20 pm and that was plenty of time. I would just plan to get to his area about 40-60 minutes early if you have your heart set on meeting him.

It was such a great day! I watched Wishes and Celebrate The Magic and just bawled like a baby. I didn't have the best spot so I didn't take any pictures but it was still so beautiful!

Sounds like a fun time and one probably filled with emotions to be in a Disney Park the first time as a Disney Employee.

Glad you are excited about the team you are working with!

Is it weird to love the Tangled bathrooms? Because I do lol! The last few trips we've taken since the bathrooms have been there, I've sat outside on the benches just......enjoying the area....wish there was more to it than just bathrooms!

Did you have a chance to ride 7DMT?

Nice picture of you and Gaston. Sounds like a great day in the parks.
Thanks! It was wonderful!

If it's weird than I am definitely weird! They are amazing! I wish there were more the area as well, Tangled needs more love in the parks!

I did! I waited for about 60 minutes, and I actually really loved it! The ending of the ride was really need, if you pay attention you can see Snow White!

Day 13 (02/05/15)

Today was yet another perfect day! I went to another Face Character Audition with Gabi (we didn't go through but that's okay!!) Afterwards I decided I would head to Animal Kingdom for the morning. It was a pretty rainy morning, but luckily it cleared up in no time! :thumbsup2

I had been dying to see Finding Nemo: The Musical, so that was first on the agenda! It was breathtaking and I was closer to the stage than I'd ever been! (In the "bubble zone"!)

I just love that show! Being so close was so amazing and magical!! :tigger:

Afterwards I headed to Expedition Everest. I jumped in the single rider line and was on the ride in about 5 minutes! :goodvibes

Last on my list for Animal Kingdom was to see The Festival of the Lion King and it was magnificent as always!

I decided that it was time for me to finally ride Tower of Terror and Rock N Roller Coaster so I headed to Disney Hollywood Studios for some fun!

CAN I LIVE HERE? :cloud9:

It was such a great day!

Sounds like another fun Disney day!! I love that you are seeing all the shows....I only ever have time for about one per theme park when I go...it would be so nice to be there and see them all and maybe even more than once!! I just love the no pressure way you are getting to experience everything!

Hi there! I'm joining in on following your adventures at WDW! It's been bringing back a lot of memories for me since I did my horticulture internship at Epcot back in 2000. I was about your age and had such an amazing time. I also kept a journal and have a photo album from my time there, along with my name badges that I got to keep and a few other special items. Thanks for bringing back the wonderful memories and I'm so glad you get to have this experience. I wanted to work for Disney full time after my internship but by the time I graduated they had a hiring freeze that lasted for over a year I believe. I now live in Denver but am dying to go back to WDW someday soon!

wow, Nemo, EE, FOTLK, ToT, and RnRC! That is quite the day! Pretty cool to see Nemo from that close

Totally jumping on board! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us all, I really enjoyed reading your experience so far and can't wait for more updates! You totally have a lovely smile, keep going to those auditions!
