Ok My favorite resort is the BC and we could not get in for our May trip. We LOVE the convenience of being able to walk to Epcot. So this trip we are staying at the GF...now I am one who get s stuck in a rut and I like that rut..so people please tell me how much I will love the GF and where I should stay, we just booked Garden view, but what should I request?

I am sure you will love the GF. Alot of people are afraid to stay there because they think its "stuffy", but it really is not. It is one of the most relaxing resort to stay in. I enjoyed sitting in the lobby and listening to the music in the afternoon.
The resort is nicely laid out, none of the buildings are too far from the main building, and you have alot of options for dining. From looking at a map of the resort I really think any of the buildings will be great for a gardenview.
We stayed in Boca Chica for a lagoonview but the rooms that overlooked the courtyard have a nice gardenview and you are not far from the pool.
Transportation wise, on the monorail the MK is the next stop which is nice, and then just a stop at the CR and then to the TTC to get the monorail to Epcot. Some of the buses are shared with other resorts, but this occurs at the BC as well.

In all honestly, you will miss the convenience of strolling over to International Gateway...but...the GF is really lovely and the option of the monorail or water launch to the MK is wonderful. It's quick and easy to switch to the EPCOT monorail.

My favorite garden view rooom at GF was in Boca Chica - our room was at the far end of the building (MK end) - we could see the lagoon, monorail in the distance, the MK boat docks etc. It was wonderful! The restaurant roof blocked our view of the Castle , but we didn't mind at all. It was an absolutely wonderful garden view room (nope, not an upgrade)!

Hope you enjoy your stay!

You will love the GF! We alternate staying GF, Poly and YC. BC/YC you have the convenience of walking to EPCOT but GF has the monorail! It's easy to hop on the monorail, change monorails at the TTC and hop the EPCOT monorail.

For garden view we like the gv rooms on either Sago Cay or Conch Key marina side. The last gv room we had in January was in COnch Key marina side and if you looked over to the right you could see the castle and the fireworks. Have a wonderful trip.

So tell me this, what is considered Garden view at the GF, because when I think about it, most of it is surrounded by water...

While the GF is pretty much surrounded by water, a lot of the rooms face inward towards the courtyard. Here is a link to a map of the resort, you can see that there are plenty of buildings that qualify as gardenview
