So is it possible to get a frig for free? Myson is lactose intolerant & has reflux but does not need meds just refrigerated milk??

If you are staying at a Moderate or Deluxe resort, a fridge is as free and standard as carpeting and a bathroom.

The Values don't have fridges. I don't think they'd give it to you for the milk, you'd have to rent one for that. I know they would for medication though. You could probably call and ask, or maybe you should try to get in on a fridge swap.

If you have a medical reason Disney will not charge you even if you are in a value resort. Just tell them when you check in and they will take care of it for you.

because, while standing at the check-in desk at Movies, while counting out my younger DS's piggy bank to buy him Disney dollars, a woman came up and was worried about the fridge she'd paid for not being in her room.

She explained that it was needed to store medicines and wondered how quickly one could be delivered. The CM said she'd get her one right away, then asked if she understood correctly that the fridge was needed for medical reasons.

The woman said yes. The CM then explained that if the fridge was a medical need, there was no charge for it. She adjusted the woman's bill, removing the fee for the fridge.

I would suggest putting in your request when you book. They didn't ask for a medical note, but having one on hand might make things easier. No matter where you stay on Disney property you should be able to get a free fridge!
