Frig at Pop for medical reasons

Does anyone know if we still have to pay the fee for the refrigerator if we have a medical reason that necessitates this? Our doctor could write a letter to the front desk explaining this. Or - if we give what we need kept cold to the front desk can they put it in a refrig for us? Thanks for your advice...

They have medicinal ref. for free. But they are small. If they run out of the small ones you get a bigger one for free. Last time I was there in June we got a bigger one. You should really call reservations and let them know now so as to make sure they have one for you.

Thanks, do I need a letter from our doctor to get one? That is no problem, I just want to make sure I don't show up without one. Did it have a freezer in it? I just need enough freezer space to keep one bottle frozen at all times for rolling and icing a heel.

No you don't need a letter but you should call them. I'm not sure if the regular med fridge had a freezer in it. I ended up with a bigger one because they forgot to put one in my room and by the time I checked in and called mousekeeping it was late and they didn't have any more of the small one's. Mine did have a freezer. It was big enough for me to freeze my ice paks and a water bottle.
When you call let them know you need one with a freezer.

If you arrive and the resort does not have any, you can call A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com) and they will bring one with a freezer right to the hotel. Very reasonable in price, too. We got one from them, (along with a lot of other things), and I think it was around $45 for the week. Beat the heck out of a cooler and ice.
