Friendship boats back to Studios?

If we park at the studios then go to Epcot, how late will the boat go back to the studios of it closes at 8:30?

Boats run for an hour after park close but you can also walk if for some reason you miss the last boat. Since Epcot closes later you could also take the boat to the Swan/Dolphin and walk a shorter distance from there. That boat will run until 10pm

If you take the boat from DHS to Epcot in the morning, the CMs should be able to tell you. The last boat from DHS to Epcot leaves the dock one hour after DHS closes, but the last boat from Epcot to DHS leaves earlier than that, maybe 30 or 35 minutes earlier, I can’t remember for sure.

There is also a bus between DHS and the front entrance of Epcot. If you want, you could park at Epcot and bus to DHS. This way you and your car are at the same park at the end of the day.

Since the walk from the Swan/Dolphin dock to DHS will take you back across a bridge toward the Boardwalk anyway, exit the boat at the Boardwalk dock and walk from there. I would estimate that the walk from there is within 100 feet or so of the walk from the S/D dock and you will be walking while the boat makes a stop at the Yacht/Beach Clubs dock prior to sailing on to the S/D dock. You’ll be at DHS 10 minutes quicker, and perhaps even before that boat gets to the DHS dock (which is a fair walk from the parking lot as well).

Five minutes by bus. Twentyish minutes by boat because it stops three placrs before arriving at DHS.

Which to take? Bus if you're in Future World, boat from World Showcase.

Yes, buses are available from the main entrance of Epcot to Hollywood Studios. The boats dock outside the International Gateway, which is located between the France and United Kingdom pavilions of World Showcase. They are pleasant but slow, stopping three times along the way. The third option is simply to walk, which takes roughly 30 minutes. I realize that doesn't work for all guests, but it's usually what we do.

2 months + 10 days puts you 5 days before SWGE official opening.

By that time, you might also have Skyliner as an option. It's expected to be about a 20 minute trip between Epcot IG & DHS, and it's likely there will no wait to board at midday.

I am hoping the Skyliner to be an option also but for some reason I never knew about the boats before! Thank you!

I'm relatively certain (but not at all positive) that getting from IT* to THE** via Skyliner will require riding it to CBR, then switching over to the other line. I don't think it will be even as fast as walking or the boats.

It will require a transfer, but the estimated travel time released by Disney is 15 minutes from IG to CBR, and from CBR to DHS is 5 minutes. Time walking from Epcot unload to DHS load at CBR station should be minimal, so total time is well under 25 minutes, which is less than the boats and less than or around the walking time for most or many. And probably no queuing during the day, and no waiting for the next boat to show up.

I think the bus is your best option. The boat will take you to the BACK of Epcot and your car will be in the FRONT of Epcot. That is a LOT of walking at the end of the day. If you DO decide to boat. I would take the BOAT to BEACH CLUB (first stop after S/D I believe) and walk to the International Gateway from there. Then WALK all the way to the front of Epcot (if you get to Epcot before it closes at 9 pm).
