Friendship Boats Across Lagoon (Epcot)

As best I can tell, the Friendship Boats internal to Epcot travel 1) from the Canada side to Morocco and 2) from the Mexico side to Germany. Do they run both ways? i.e. from Morocco to Canada and from Germany to Mexico?

There is now only one boat.

Route is (near) Canada to Morocco and then, Morocco to (near) Canada. Repeat.

The World Showcase Plaza to Germany Friendship route was discontinued "mid 2017".

I'd guess there wasn't enough demand for two boats crossing. I've never seen a lot of people waiting for the boats and all the years I've gone to Epcot I've never taken the country boats

We must go at different times then. I go January, March/April (not near Easter), August/September, and Early December. I use the boats a lot, and they fill up, sometimes with people standing, every time. I can’t remember the last time a boat wasn’t full. I am usually taking it late afternoon or early evening.

Is there more than one boat running or is it just one boat continuously making the route back and forth between Canada and Morocco? I'm just trying to get a feel for how often they will arrive at each dock since this is something my mom and sister want to do when we are there next month.

There are a few times you might see the boat run from Mexico to Germany,I believe during the filming of Wheel of Fortune they ran Mexico to Germany,probably had to do with the people in the boats getting glimpses of the filming they didnt need to see,unsure if thats the reason but from what I've heard the filming was the reason for the temporary switch.
