LOVED the latest update! That tour was JUST what you needed to get you in the mood for DISNEY! The pics are precious and I LOVED how much fun it was obvious you were having. I know it hurts mot to share those moments with Jim in person, you always think of the neatest ways to connect with him though! I am glad Tim posted the pic of the fake Mickey, I had NO idea what you both were talking about. How sad that they are allowed to do that!

yah, the fakes are very annoying....our guide told us they had kicked them out for awhile, but have all come back....they aren't allowed to go into the grauman theatre courtyard, but they block the sidewalks and really are quite pushy

Here is the fake Mickey we ran into. We didn't know that you had to give them $ to take a picture with them. We learned really quick to put the camera away when we saw these fakes.

I've never heard of these fakes. I clearly live under a rock. That's a really cute pic though; however, Mickey's fake shoe is all dirty and Dis would never hear of such a thing

Sorry to hear about having to travel with SIL and the issues with her. Hopefully you can avoid her as much as possible except for meals in which case I'm sure you'll all be seated together. Does anyone like her? Clearly your brother must, but I find most people aren't so fond of other self centered individuals. Here's an idea -- have your mom add me to the trip and I'll ward SIL off for you

Years ago, a friend of mine from CA went to the Soda Fountain to get me a Tink pin. I thought the Soda Fountain was right there at Disneyland the way she talked. I appreciate the pin even more as it looks like she had quite a drive!

they are bad! same as in NYC! don't get it, but people actually were posing with them

let's just say never were great friends and don't even like giving her the title of SIL...usually refer to her as "the other" my older brother put her in her place the summer after Jim died and we had moved up to WA...her true colors came out and my friends all wanted to take her in the back forty for a little lesson....my mom was truly heartbroken, but the girl doesn't see she did anything wrong....my brother is under her spell unfortunately and never stands up to her, they've been married for 22 years...plan on staying away from her as much as possible

I'm very far behind but wanted to say that I enjoyed the update from your last day at the MK. It was great meeting Megan and yourself at Epcot. I know we didn't get to spend alot of time together but it was a real pleasure.

you got that right....she was raised on a farm, still does all her own yard work other than the mowing, she just turned 74 a month ago! My daddy died back in 2003 so she's been on her own and still takes care of everything around the house that she can...volunteers at the hospital and does water aerobics 3 times a week! sometimes she doesn't know her limits and over does, she can be a stubborn mule at times too!

Your mom sounds amazing (I guess I see where you get your energy and strength from). I hope she is improving.

What is Blue?

Blue is a jumping dolphin landing in the water
a glowing sky far about the ground,
and a poweful tasting stick of mint flavored gum.

Blue is a hot day waiting to be cooled off by a water balloon fight.
The sound of blue is a loud tool hitting the ground as my dad worked on his car, and it smells like the chlorine coming off the pool before you jump in.

Looking up at the sky, picking blueberries and swimming in the lake all remind me of blue. Blue is the color that makes me feel like everyday I'm somewhere tropical, just steps from the beach. Hundreds of small blueberries, a sea of choir t-shirts and the sight of a baby boys room are all blue.

Blue is the color of sadness.

Megan is inspiring. You should be very proud!

When we were in LA they were E.V.E.R.Y.W.H.E.R.E. Now they are making their way into NYC. I really don't have any respect for them. Look at Mickey. He looks nothing like the 'real' Mickey.

Saturday morning we got up and headed over to MK for a bit! was about 830

had a 30 minute wait for spacemtn so jumped in line....my photo of the photo area

then onto buzz and pirates....grabbed a quick breakfast muffin at the bakery and headed over to DCA for the day! about 10:15 so missed the gates opening
first up was TSM of course, the line was already about 40 minutes long but since they don't due FP there we waited and then saw this guy

Megan didn't want to wait so I snapped a quick photo in between guests

then headed over to

where we got to draw Oswald...

then saw the Muppets 3D

planned on getting FP for Soarin' but they were already gone at noon and decided not to wait in line since we've ridden so many times before

had a new show so watched it for a few minutes, waiting for Minnie to come out but after about 6-7 minutes we gave up

took a little break for some people watching ....always cheap Disney entertainment...wow can't believe what some people wear to the parks high heals and it was about 60 by now and sunny and they had winter coats and gloves on

then over to ride Ariel...

it was time for our lunch ressies at Wine Country Trattoria Megan had a pasta dish and I had a yummy chicken sandwich...we also got our "FP" for our priortity "seating" well standing to see World of Color that night for the first time! enjoy our table on the terrace and had a leisure lunch before heading over to watch Aladdin...we love this show, always updated with current topics thanks to the adlibbing of the Genie...

he poked fun at the Kim Kardashian and Lindsey Lohan and was "tweeting" on the magic lamp
