megan wants to go see the Lorax tomorrow and I NEED to find a skirt for the cruise...been getting little things together, 4 weeks today we leave! finished booking our excursions yesterday, so the big stuff it finished! and Chiara is creating a graphic for t-shirts for our embarkation photos....will post when I get them!!
wish you all could be coming too! but we do have our trip to visit you all coming soon can't wait!!! I'm more excited about seeing you all then spending the week with "the other" but know we will have fun inspite of her

up next was lunch where the employees eat...didn't see anyone famous, but enjoyed our yummy lunch! megan had a cheeseburger on grilled sourdough bread with some of the best french fries we've ever had and I got the grilled chicken tacos....everything was made to order and so fresh!!!

after lunch we got back on the bus for our journey to HOLLYWOOD!

the streets were already getting set up for the Oscars and we should of toured the Kodak Theatre, but we did Grauman's instead! we got a tour of the theatre and some of the history before heading out to see the courtyard

we got to walk over to the kodak theatre and found the winning movies for the years we were born

before megan got to walk down the "red carpet" stairs....

we then crossed over to visit this and get a few more photos of the "stars"

we then presented each other with these little beauties!

I won for Best Mom

and Megan won for Best Daugther

then we enjoyed an orange float and looked around the store

we we got back on the bus, we were all given these

we all got our own "Hollywood Stars"

we then headed down Sunset Strip with a little history about "old hollywood" from our driver Don before we pulled into

and

for about 20 minutes....our tour guide Michel went to get us each one of these yummy treats ...... that we got later that night

next we headed out to the beach! Malibu! it took about 30 minutes so we enjoyed talking to Dean and Michel and arrived at Gladstone's about 5:30!

we enjoyed some yummy appetizers and drinks - had their signature mojito and megan a "shirley temple" before we got some beach time...

a little something for my sweetie...a note for the tide to take to him...

and we were blessed with this...

we then boarded our bus for our journey back to GCH....being a Friday night and LA it took us almost 2 1/2 hours....we enjoyed watching Wall-E and talking more with Dean and Michele....I found out Michel would be working in the MK on Sunday and we set up a little pixie dust for when Kris, Scott, Steven and Kylee came to the park.....when we got back to the resort about 845, we were given a gift bag with a D23 magazine, 2 photo frames and each a ABD special edition pin along with our cupcakes...and here's a photo of our "stars"

we said our good-byes and thank you's and got back to our hotel about 930, after a long, fun and exciting day we were ready to hit the sack!

this tour was an amazing way to learn more history about Walt Disney and Hollywood! we hope to take the 6-day tour someday for even more magic!

I didn't realize Ben Hur was the winning movie the year I was born......

What is Blue?

Blue is a jumping dolphin landing in the water
a glowing sky far about the ground,
and a poweful tasting stick of mint flavored gum.

Blue is a hot day waiting to be cooled off by a water balloon fight.
The sound of blue is a loud tool hitting the ground as my dad worked on his car, and it smells like the chlorine coming off the pool before you jump in.

Looking up at the sky, picking blueberries and swimming in the lake all remind me of blue. Blue is the color that makes me feel like everyday I'm somewhere tropical, just steps from the beach. Hundreds of small blueberries, a sea of choir t-shirts and the sight of a baby boys room are all blue.

Blue is the color of sadness.

I think those are my favorite photos (and they really have nothing to do with the tour -- they are just special). I did like Pluto's corner quite well too!

been thinking of you, hope that will help bring you some comfort...Jim had a golden lab when he was a kid (we still have the photo of him as a puppy on Megan's "daddy shelf" in her room) his name was Charlie, so sure Rufus has a new friend!

guess you have been....its in my siggie ....my mom is taking my two brothers, their wives and my two nephews and us on the NCL cruise around the Hawaiian islands over spring break!

I did notice the three paw prints but it didn't strike me as to why there were three until you mentioned Pluto being a boy! I'm slow today as I didn't notice the ticker in your sig either. I'm getting old.....

took a few of us a couple minutes to figure out the whole 3 paw thing too


nah, you're not old....lots of people don't look at the siggies!
it will be fun to get away and have some sunshine! and no cooking, cleaning, my bed will be made everyday! getting served tropical drinks while reading by the pool my kind of vacation!

the only downside is the younger bro wife is coming ....she's all about her and no one else and really was a "you know what" to me when Jim died ..so a strained relationship to this day....
so have planned some things for just Megan and I to do and see by ourselves! afterall its our vacation to enjoy as we want too!

it was a long day, but so worth it! had so much fun, the guys were a blast! you could tell they loved what they do!

And now they are invading NYC too. They should just stay in LA.

Here is the fake Mickey we ran into. We didn't know that you had to give them $ to take a picture with them. We learned really quick to put the camera away when we saw these fakes.

I know we saw them last summer! our guides warned us not to go near them or the guys trying to sell their CD's.....we had one guy on our tour that was very uncomfortable and put off by them, don't know if had ever been in a big city before.
Hollywood unfortunately has gotten pretty bad and not somewhere I'd go at night without a large group.
