All of you are wonderful- I am learning so much that will - hopefully- help us ensure that Ashlyn has a wonderful trip- we want to squeeze every second out of her wish!

The very idea of Disney World is helping her feel better! She generally only gets to venture out of the house for religious ed on Wednesdays, church on Sundays, the necessary doctor and hospital trips and a once or twice a month trip to Target. This is SUCH an incredible possibility for her!!!

Hopefully she will have her central line out before the trip so that we will only have one pump going

Its Sunday morning! we are excited for breakfast with our "Goofy" and so excited to meet up with Kris, Scott, Steven and Kylee!

we were up and out the door early for our 8am breakfast! the walk from our hotel to DLR hotel takes about 20 minutes...have to go through bag check , then walk through the courtyard between DLR and DCA, out the other side into DTD, walk through DTD to the hotel at the other end!

we checked in and they called our name in about 3 minutes! and was surprised to find out we got our greeting photo with Goofy! in the past it was always Pluto which I never understood since its "goofy's
kitchen"

we got seated, server came up to take our drink orders and off we went to the yummy buffet! my highlight was my omelet of bacon, onions, cheese and tomatoes....megan just had bits of pieces of everything!

got to see lots of characters

Chip and Dale were there also, but kept missing our table after we filled up we walked around the hotel a bit

looked around in the gift shop where a CM commented on my rosetta that Ellen made and Megan's Jessie/Bullseye bag D~ made....she loved them both and I share their info....hope it brought in a sale for the ladies!

Kris had texted me that they were about 30 minutes out so we headed down to wait for them at the tram exit!

we were getting so excited, checking each tram as it pulled up, we finally saw them!!!

after our hugs we head into the MK to City Hall where we were meeting our ABD tour guide Michel! he came out to great us all and helped Kris get a new GAC card and stroller/wheelchair stamp for Kylee....got a little bit of pixie dust from him, he stamped it with the "green light" stamp so that enabled us get first in line priviledges the kids looked at the CM's pins for trading and steven found one he needed to complete a group he had started!

then saw this cute photo op.....

we got in line for World of Color and waited about 35 minutes for the show to start....we had a great spot right in front...did get some of the mist, but worth it...no heads in front of us!

IMHO this show is the best thing Disney has ever created...was just awe struck with the water, lights and music....especially my favorite from "Enchanted" ....So Close by Jon McLaughlin...for some reason every time I hear it, I think of my Jim

and of course when this started so did my tears....megan knew and turned to me with a hug and a smile

after a long day in the park we headed back to our hotel for an early bedtime....we had breakfast planned with our guy Goofy in the morning and a fun filled day planned with Kris, Scott, Steven and Kylee!!!

Catching up and I'm in tears. Megan's poem is so touching. Thanks for sharing for love for Jim in your posts. Your DD is so sweet to bring you comfort and know how you feel and what you need. I love that picture of you and Megan!

Breakfast with Goofy and friends looks like lots of fun. Can't wait to read more about your day with Kris and her gang.

Megan looks so beautiful in her choir outfit (and I'm sure to her mom's dismay she looks so much older).

yes she does look older to my dismay, she turns 12 on the 29th and I am so not ready for it

Goofy's kitchen is fun...kind of like Chef Mickeys they have some dancing with Goofy through the meals!

Hope you get more pics posted soon -- I like how you always take photos of the signs and environment too -- I wish I had done more of that when we at Dis. Maybe next time....

thanks Andrea....they usually have 6-8 characters there and always 2 "face" ones! I try to take different photos with each trip so my albums aren't all the same!
I know, we will be on the plane this time in two weeks....need to get packing next week!

we did have fun that morning.....more to come soon, not sure if I will get to an update over the weekend though, Megan is having her bday slumber party tomorrow night (bday is the 29th) with her two besties from school and we have our grief group at noon tomorrow and not sure how long the girls will be staying on Sunday yet...but will definately finish up our last two days next week!

the slumber party is going full force....forget how much noiser 3 is from 1...lots of giggles and talking about boys but they are having fun!

after we got all set at Guest Services we headed over to the Tomorrowland Terrace for lunch and then made our ride list! we let Kylee and Steven choose which rides they wanted to go on for the day!

since we had the "green stamped" GAC card we were able to ride the following in about 6 hours!
Buzz, Autotopia, Nemo sub, IASW, POTC - I stayed out with Kylee when the other rode POTC, she wasn't comfortable doing the drops - HM, Pooh, Dumbo, Mr. Toad, Peter Pan, Pinnochio, Snow White, Jungle Cruise, Gadgets go coaster, Roger Rabbit, Casey Jr, Alice In Wonderland and visited Rapunzel! the only thing we didn't get to that Steven wanted to ride was Space Mtn and BTMRR, but he was ok with it since Kylee had such a fun day...he is really a sweet and wonderful big brother to her

Casey Jr Train...it goes around the Storybook Canal which was closed

we then went to visit Rapunzel...had two very nice CM's who allowed us to have some extra time with her...unfortunately we had just missed Flynn

we had dinner at the Plaza Inn...way to much food for me! but good fried chicken!

then had some pixie dust for the fireworks...Kris' oldest DD had been in the park on Friday and had set it up for us to have priority seating to watch the fireworks right in front of the castle on the benches!

after the crowd cleared out a bit, we headed down main street for some shopping for the kids and finally said our good-byes....we had such a magical day with our dear friends and so happy we finally got to meet them we walked out of the park and had our last hugs and headed back to our hotel about 1030...Kris said they got home around midnight.

Monday morning we slept in a bit and headed back to MK! didn't take too many photos for some reason

our highlights were riding on IASW, POTC twice (we actually ran into some friends we knew from Modesto, so talked for a few minutes with them) met with Tiana and Naveen, never did get to see Mickey and Minnie in their Mardi Gras outfits, tried 4 times and always missed them, BTMRR, Buzz, watched Billy Hill and the Hill Billies show and rode the train around the park 3 different times - park was quite busy and we were tired - had baked potatoes for lunch at the Troubedor (sp) tavern, yummy! and dinner at Blue Bayou.

We had two quick DISmeets with PurpleEars and her DH and LaWanna Yeager, kkbeaton2 and their DH's and a another couple was great to meet up with them all!

caught the last bit of the Mardi gras party...kept missing the whole show

after dinner we headed back to our hotel, Megan was so tired and not feeling well, I did some packing and we got to bed early!

Tuesday we had planned on having breakfast at the GCH at Storytellers, but Megan was just wiped out, so we eat at our hotel, and caught our shuttle to the airport about 10, Megan was very uncomfortable the whole trip home with her cold and was a long day for us both.

We enjoyed our trip back to DLR and meeting so many new DIS friends and spending the day with Kris and her family!

From Presidents weekend of 2011 to this one we have been blessed to meet 18 different DISer's from our many trips we took over the year! they have all been so wonderful to meet and spend time with and made our trips even more special!

I did read everything and am all caught up now that you're done.

I throughly enjoyed the TR and all of the photos. You have now given me an itch to go to Disneyland which I've really never had a desire to do. Now, to just find the time, the money, etc.
