Friends joining us for lunch at TC-parking?

We are staying at RPR next week for 3 nights - have reservations at
Tchoup Chop on Friday for lunch - friends staying at Disney want to join
us for lunch (only), where do they park? and is there a fee for them -
they are NOT going into the park, just having lunch.

Technically, there is no free parking during the day until 6pm.
They could park across the street at the Holiday Inn on Kirkman Road, and walk.
Or they can drive over to the PBH and park for free because the exit gate is not being used (little secret), therefore, they could enter the parking lot, take then ticket, then drive out. The RPR and HRH have guard gates. They could drive up to the RPR gate, tell the guard they are visiting to eat at the restaurant, and see if he lets them in. He might let them do it, but it all depends on how the guard is feeling. He could be nice and say sure, go ahead, or be mean an say pay up.
