Friends & Family Tix Code - will it work?

Hello,

I found someone on ebay that was offering a friends and family code. He suggested that the tickets are scanned through automated machines at the parks so there would never be any questions asked. Savings are very good ($90 per ticket from what I can tell). I contacted other ebay members who purchased and they received their tickets from Disney. They appear to be completely happy with the transaction.

My question is this...Would there be any issue with using these "automated" machines at Disney for these tickets? I haven't been there in years and I'm not sure how this works.

Tickets would expire 12/31/10. Any type of combination. Purchased through Disney site. All seems the same except price and again...advised that you use them through the automated scanners or something.

Please advise if you know.

I personally would not buy any park tickets on ebay. I would not risk spending hundreds of dollars to not have it work then have to spend hundreds more to buy tickets once on vacation.

If you want to buy tickets other than from Disney you can purchase them at a discount from an authorized ticket broker such as Undercover Tourist. If you sign up for the http://www.mousesavers.com/ newsletter you get the best discount I've seen anywhere. I have purchased from Undercover Tourist twice and have been very pleased with them. You will find lots of other positive reviews of them here on the DIS. Please note that UT's prices include tax and shipping. Most other places only include those costs at check out.

Sounds like you purchased the same auction I did.

I chose not to use the code because it is not intended for the general public. It is for a specific group of people who are either participants or supporters of a particular event. That people are exploiting it is wrong!!

I alerted the administraters of the site and they said they were aware of the selling of the code and were taking steps to stop it.

I asked for and received a refund from the seller. Not that they were happy about it. I am trying to determine what feedback to leave to alert buyers to the unethical practice of 1) The seller selling the code 2) The buyer using it.
