they were on Carnival. Please tell me there is enough for our DS10 to do - whether it's the lab, movies, or in the room.

Yes, there is certainly enough to keep kids busy on a Disney cruise. We went the first time 2 years ago when DS was 10. We allowed him to sign himself in and out of O-Lab, and we were always waiting up for him to come "home" around midnight! He loved the lab. The only part he wasn't crazy about was the CC part because they can't go swimming. Other than that, he was busy the whole time! :Pinkbounc

Kids being bored on a Disney cruise would be like a cat being bored in a room full of mice and squeaky toys. ;)

You can stop worrying. They'll be overwhelmed with options. This is Disney, for Pete's sake. The kids will be in heaven. GO !!!

Hi,
My kids went on the cruise when they were 10 and 9, they had so many activities to do that most nights they were too busy to have dinner with us. We booked another cruise for april of 03 and they can't wait to go back. JP:)

Our kids love the Oceaneer's Lab activities! They enjoyed playing in the lab, which is where they usually were after 9:30pm, but often the Lab activities were held throughout the ship, including the sports deck, a pool party at Mickey's pool, going to the movies, etc...all supervised by the Lab CM's. About the only time we saw them was at dinner and at a couple of the shows that we made them go to with us. They also went with us on our excursion in Nassau. They spent most of the day on Castaway Cay with us, because they enjoyed playing on the diving platform and floating in the tubes. They only wanted to be with the Lab group for one activity while there. Most nights, we had to pull them away at midnight!

What imgoingtodisney's friends DH was referring to was "his own kids being DS 13.5 and DD being 12.5" having nothing to on a Carnival Cruise as he would not go on a Disney cruise............so once again that conversaton was not either heard right by imgoing or not told right by friends DH..................
