I was originally looking for dinner on Christmas at Artist Point, but now it's unclear if they will be open that evening at all, as there are no reservations currently available after 10/22.

Couldn't get LeCellier or Coral Reef for NYE. I wonder if they haven't loaded all the times yet?

That's insane. Unfortunately the 180+10 would bring us out to 12/21, which I fear is when most are heading down, seeing as it's a Friday and during free dining. However, that's a LONG trip during the holiday week. Most go for Christmas OR NYE, not always both.

It's certainly believable, though. When you go to Epcot or MK for NYE, people don't care WHERE they eat... the mentality is "I'm gonna have to eat and sit by this time, so I'll book whatever is available."

I'd recommend looking into Teppan Edo. We've really enjoyed our meals there and if you time it right, you can grab a spot at the top of those stairs for a semi-unobstructed view of the fireworks.

I just called because when I tried to book the 12/30 dessert party my computer was just spinning and spinning. The csr said since there are NO times listed for LeCellier she thinks they are going to do a price fixed meal on NYE. She had no idea about Coral Reef, just told me to keep checking back.

That would make the most sense, as they haven't released any info re: parties, events, or price fixe menus.

Do let me know if you can book 12/30 dessert party. We're hoping to do the same!

AP is apparently being "reimagined". We did AP a few years ago for Xmas and loved it. I'd hate to see it dropped from the Signature status. WL is a real treat during Christmas.

We're arriving 12/23! What time do the ADR's open tomorrow again? Also, I think we're going to just shoot for BOG with CP as a back up and stay for the fireworks. I know the park will be busy, but we'll take a shot. Flexible planning. We're planning on spending the day at AK then hop over to MK. I'm thinking if we have ADRs they'll let us in, even if it's full to capacity. Hoping it will slow up by then. If not we'll just hop somewhere else:)

I don’t think Coral Reef is loaded into the system yet. I just made my New Year’s Eve Reservations and all the more popular restaurants are currently available.

Okay, off the top of my head...

- Be prepared. I know it's tedious to know where you'll be in 180 days, let alone what you'll want to eat... but I always make a mock itinerary. The last thing you wanna do is book an ADR for Boma when you plan on being in Magic Kingdom—or book all Hollywood Studios ADRs when you plan on only being there once or twice. List out your mock itinerary and make sure everything flows.

- Have backups. Narcoossee's is all booked? Book Cali Grill. Homecomin' is booked? Settle for 50's Prime Time.

- Have some wiggle room. Ohana is booked on December 26th? Can you fit it in on 12/30? Have a list of restaurants and dates that you can switch around. That's where having a mock itinerary comes in handy.

- Check your MDE and make sure your account is linked. SO IMPORTANT! Can't tell you how many horror stories I hear of people logging in at 6am and they can't make ADRs because their info isn't linked.

- Have a credit card handy—obviously.

Now, for Christmas and other peak-time related tips...

- Save your most popular ADRs for later in the trip. Remember the 180+10? Let's say you're trying to book 'Ohana on 12/26? Well, you're competing with everyone whose ADR window opened today, plus everyone who booked in the days before you. Most people go for Christmas or NYE, not always both. Saving Ohana for 12/30 gives you a much better chance of locking it down.

- Book the holidays first. Book Christmas, then NYE, then Christmas Eve—that's our list of importance. Christmas and NYE dinner can make or break our trip. Christmas Eve is a toss up.

- Then book your most popular restaurants: Ohana on 12/30, CRT on 12/27, etc. etc.

- Then go in chronological order.

- OR, just book your number 1 choice. What's the one restaurant that'll make or break your trip. Is Ohana more important than doing Christmas dinner at Narcoossee's? Well then, book that.

- Don't not book something. First or second choice not available? Book something. You can always cancel it—but you don't wanna be left without it.

Restaurants that feel more Christmasy during the holidays:
- Biergarten
- Narcoossee's
- Artist Point (may not be available)
- Hollywood and Vine
- Boma (can't beat the AKL during Christmas)
- Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue

That's all I can think of right now

6am online; 7am EST by phone. Book online.

We arrive on the 21st and are staying through the 30th. We were able to get everything we wanted at the exact times we wanted. I was so nervous with it being Christmas time. We usually go in early June and often have issues getting some of the restaurants we want or they don't have ADR's at the times we want. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I even checked around 2pm that afternoon and Ohana for Christmas dinner was still available, PPO breakfast times for Akershus were available. I believe all the places we reserved had a time available within thirty minutes of when we had reserved ours.

12/21 - Liberty Tree Tavern @ 5:05pm (we are doing MVMCP)
12/22 - Tusker Hosue @ 11:30am
12/23 - Sci-Fi Dine in Theater @ 11:30am
- Trails End @ 6:30pm (new to us)
12/24 - Akershus @ 8:00am (hope to get this as a Candelight Processional package)
- Via Napoli @ 6:05pm
12/25 - Chef Mickeys @ 11:00am
- Ohana @ 7:00pm
12/27 - 1900 Park Fare @ 6:30pm
12/28 - Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' @ 11:00am (new to us)
- Shula's @ 5:00pm (celebrating our 20th anniversary)
12/29 - Ohana @ 11:00am
12/30 - Skipper Canteen @ 11:30am (new to us)

We’re staying 27-31st dec. Will all the quick service restaurants be awful at this time with queues? Should I book table service for lunch and dinner in your experience or is quick service still an option?

I was wondering the same thing! We'll be there Dec 20-27, and I really prefer to only have one TS per day...especially at EP and MK, where there are actually a lot of counter service options that we really like. But I don't want to stand in line for an hour for food and then have nowhere to sit, so I went ahead and grudgingly booked lunch and dinner TS. Are there any parks that I could safely cancel one TS meal at...or will they all be so packed that I will be grateful to have the two TS meals?
