Friendly OHL Wager: Knights vs. Petes

The huge difference between my cheering for the Knights and your defending the Leafs is that I'm not delusional - as most Leafs fans would have to be after almost 40 years of futility...

I agree with you Mike ... it's a 7 game series and I have confidence that the Knights can pull this one off. Admittedly, it's been great hockey ... I just wish the outcome had been different at least ONCE

My friend from work drove to Ptbo for Sunday's game and she said the arena wasn't even full :confused3 People here camp out on the street just to get the standing room only seats at the top.

GO KNIGHTS GO !!!

HMMMM- it is impossible to get tickets to a Petes game because they have been sold out for weeks- so I am not sure what happened on Sunday.

We were invited to our friends private box for tonights game and I thought hubby confirmed and he thought I did and in the end when we didn't respond my friend sold the tickets to the many that were hounding him :furious: :sad1:

I would have loved to have been there tonight when the Petes wrap up this series.

Myself, dd7 & ds4 were at the game tonight. A great win for the petes. London got into penalty difficulty, and never recovered. Give London credit for never giving up, they played hard right to the end and had a couple of great chances in last minute to tie the game.

On to Moncton ... GO PETES GO :cool1:

Oh no hockey mom :sad2:...it was not the game you wanted to miss.

Congrats Peterborough Petes!!!!

Next step.....the Memorial Cup!

ps. Congrats also to the Knights...London did put up a great fight...4 one-goal games, two in overtime!

Wow- I never would have guessed that it would have been wrapped up in 4 games. Thought for sure 6 or 7 games.

We will be in Disney during the Memorial Cup so I will have to check scores on my laptop.

Give all credit to the Petes. The one thing they did that no one else had in the playoffs was to not give the Knights a chance to get their power play rolling. The PP was a killer, especially against Guelph, but they never had a chance to get it rolling against the Petes.

Of course, they still have to go and win the Memorial Cup. At least they won't have to do it against Sidney Crosby this year. ;)
