Friendly Battle advice

I've always played friendly CTF, never Battle. Does anyone have advice on how to get the most credits?

I've been playing with friends. We've been trading wins. One team wins the first round, then the other the next round, then the first team again. Then switch it on every other game.

Also, don't kill each ship completely, just shoot once or twice, then repair. Keep doing this until you accidently kill the ship completely. Many more credits that way
