One of my friends is going to the World for the first time with his two kids DD8 and DS9. Now I tried to talk him into going just for the disney or try spending a week there but he is only going to be at the World for 4 days. His stay in Orlando/Florida is for 2 weeks. I also tried to talk him into staying on property but he just wouldn't. Now look at his agenda:

1. Epcot-fun
2. Animal Kingdom-fun
3. if time Mgm- fun
4. Shopping-fun

That is it on his schedule no Magic Kingdom!!!!!!!! Can you beleive it! His kids are the perfect age for Magic Kingdom but he told me he's not going! Now he will have fun with the other things to do in Florida but come on a few more days in the World would be nice! He left on Saturday so I know he is having fun but I wish he could spend some more time in Walt Disney World.
Any comments are welcome! :D

I can't imagine not going to MK. With kids that age it's usually their favorite place. If I had two weeks in Florida I'd be spending at least a week at Disney. Why didn't they want to stay onsite? They'll be sorry they didn't listen to you.

Everyone doesn't appreciate Disney the way we do. Sometimes you just have to let people do what they want. Maybe his kids will change his mind.

A whole day for shopping? Sorry, but NOT fun in my book. Does he really think his kids will like a day of shopping when they could be screaming their heads off on rides? Oh, I can hear the whining from here! :listen:

Believe it or not, and it's almost sacrelidge to say it, but WDW isn't for everyone! I've known many, many people who did not enjoy the experience of Dinsey nearly as much as I'd expected them to or who really wonder WHY I'd like to go to Disney every year. (Some of these people are in my family, too.) Some like the theme parks okay, but don't want to be immersed in it 24/7, so they prefer getting away from it at their hotel. Just be grateful that YOU can fully appreciate and treasure the whole Disney experience. Hey, I like Vegas alright, but not being a gambler, don't really enjoy it as much as many, many others clearly do. Just chalk it up to different tastes.

Did you ask your friend WHY he doesn't want to go? I'd be interested to know what his thinking is. Perhaps he thinks the MK is like Storybookland or something.

He said that he wanted to do other things and also said that he thought his kids were to old! To old they are perfect ages! I know but I still think Disney is the best thing ever and I can't wait to go back!!! :earboy2:
