How is the fried chicken at CRT? Any other suggestions for the main course here? What is the cobia like? I really love fish, and I think this would be my only other choice here.

Great question, I was looking over the menu for dinner today and thought that the fried chicken might be a good choice (most expensive fried chicken EVER)!

I am curious about the fried chicken as well. We are going for the first time to CRT for dinner next week and not sure what to order. I do remember reading on here somewhere that the Fried Chicken isn't really fried. Any info would be great like is it any good? Thanks.

I had the cobia over angel hair pasta in June and DH had the majordomo (it's now gone from the menu-that was a great dish). We were starving, as we had only had a quick snack so we could get to MK at rope drop, and it was noon. I went in with LOW expectations. You are NOT there for the food. However, I ate it all, so how bad could it be? Seriously, it was better than expected (remember, LOW expectations). The pasta was just that - pasta - but the fish itself was nicely cooked. It was moist and the tomato sauce had chunks of tomatoes, instead of being just a smooth sauce, which I liked. It was seasoned nicely. Portion size seemed very sensible (which is one of my pet peeves about Disney, sometimes the portion size is just out-of-whack). Again, nothing to rave about, but if you keep your expectations low, I think you'll find it nice. My DD loved the wishing star ceremony. :thumbsup2

I had the fried chicken there in October. It was a cornish hen, so small and not a lot of meat, but very moist and delicious. It might be larger now, as I believe it was listed on the menu as 'fried cornish hen' or something to that sort. The macaroni and cheese that came with it was amazing. The cheese plate app and chocolate mousse for dessert were all excellent. I forget what DH ordered, but he was quite impressed with it.

Thanks for the info! Personally, I don't mind if its semi-small - I'm not a big eater, so cornish hen is fine for me. And I love me some good ol mac & cheese! I don't eat it much (ever really) but once in a while, I can indulge! Thanks for the info. :)

I have had the fried chicken twice. It's not really fried like you would imagine with the crispy coating (think KFC). It honestly looked and tasted like a baked chicken. I wasn't impressed but had it twice since it was the only thing that appealed to me on the menu. Oh, it was a small chicken both times too. The 1/2 chicken was the tiniest ones I've ever seen like cornish game hen size.
