Fridges

Anyone got any experience of fridges being too cold and freezing things? We might have been missing something but on our last trip (staying at GF) we couldn't see any way to adjust it. Are all the in-room fridges the same? Were we stupid or just unlucky? This time we are taking DD1 for the first time and really need reliable fridge for milk, etc.

I believe the ones at the CSR had an adjustment knob to make it colder so we could freeze our water if we wanted.

Someone posted somewhere on The DIS that the temperature control knobs are being removed from the room refrigerators.

Apparently, there is a small cover that can be removed and the control can be adjusted with pliers. Needle nose pliers in the case of the post I read. I'm not sure I would happen to have them with me, but it certainly worked for that poster!

After having a few cans of pop explode in the refrigerator because it was set too high (Could not adjust because there was no knob) a needle nose pliers in the 1st thing I pack! Cleaning up exploded pop cans was no fun!
