Fridges in delux studios

Hi,
Regarding the fridges in the delux studios at DVC resorts, do they have a small freezer compartment at the top? We were hoping to be able to freeze some ice packs and use them to keep snacks cool when going to the parks. Thanks.

Some do but apparently they are all eventually being phased out. We stayed in a BLT studio last May and had one but my understanding is that as fridges need to be replaced they are switching over to one without the small freezer compartment. Our fridge at the Poly did not have one and I believe that as a new DVC resort all the studios at the Poly are that way.

There was not a freezer section in ours when we went last month.

It's safest, at this point, to assume that no fridges in studios will have freezers before long.

Over the summer, my freezer-less fridge at VWL did freeze some water bottles if you find the right place (and low setting)
I think it was the bottom shelf.

This was our experience too. We were actually able to keep breakfast sandwiches frozen as well as juice bags we use to keep drinks cold at the parks. We actually had to be careful because our cans of pop kept freezing

Poly now only has fridge only units in the studios.

Some of the smaller fridges also do not have different settings--the one we had at POP did not and anything on the top shelf in the back froze.
