Fridge in Studios at Saratoga Springs

We stayed in a studio in the Grandstand in April and our refrigerator did not have any freezer section at all. I had ordered a couple pints of ice cream but had no where to store it. Was this just random? Do most other rooms in the Grandstand have a small freezer section?

This thread is extremely old. You should assume that any unit at WDW with a mini-fridge will not have a small freezer section. As old units die they are being replaced by mini fridges without freezer sections.

Very helpful. Thank you! I wish they would bring back the ones with the small freezer sections. We use them to freeze ice packs so we can transport healthy snacks.

I do, too, especially since the mini-fridge with freezer was a part of the sales pitch.

But I’ve had decent luck with the newer studio fridges by turning down the temp and placing our water pouches on the bottom..and they still froze.

Even if you had an undercounter refrigerator with the small freezer section, it wouldn't keep ice cream frozen.

I've had refrigerators that had the temp dial removed do you couldn't change the temp. Turning it down so low it freezes stuff tends to ruin these refrigerators.
