okay...we don't have kids but three dogs. One of whom is a CERTIFIED DRAMA QUEEN and, yes, it is my responsibility to get up and let them out and feed them.

When you find a solution to this riddle, PLEASE let me know!;)

Its the exact same reason that the lion sleeps so much. If a pack of hyenas come to the door, who's going to protect you and the cubs?

 Good luck with that.

Here's another one...if a woman and her fiancé go out to the late movie (leaving woman's son at her parent's for the night) and go to sleep at 12:30AM, not waking until 9:45....at what point shall woman expect the call from her parents to come and get the child that's probably been awake since 6:30?

Methinks it would've been wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy earlier than now, so I am off to rescue them :rotfl:

Have a good day, riddlers

Exactly!:thumbsup2

(and isn't he supposed to be on a plane???)

Hes at work and catches his plane tonight but is trying to buck the system by not being there 2 hours before departure:sad2:

Yeah, like the lion would even hear the hyenas over his own snoring anyway. Please.

OT Does anyone know the answer to yesterdays riddle? I was so distracted by be nice to Angel day that I forgot to send a PM!

what was yesterdays riddle?

Two grasshoppers are hanging around, and each is boasting that they are faster than the other. To settle the argument, they decide to have a race.

The larger of the grasshoppers, Craig -- can jump 10 inches at a single bound. The other grasshopper, Domenic, can jump only six inches at a shot. So Craig says, "We're going to set up a racecourse that's 24 feet long: 12 feet out and 12 feet back."

They're each at the starting point. Tara shoots the gun, and they take off.

Now, even though Craig, the bigger grasshopper, can jump 10 inches at a shot, the little grasshopper, Domenic, jumps more often. So when they get to the five-foot mark -- which is 60 inches -- Craig has jumped six times and Domenic has jumped 10 times, but they're dead even...neck and neck...antennae to antennae.

The question is: Which one wins the race, and why?

I guess we can give the answer since it's the next day...

WARNING...THERE IS MATH INVOLVED:scared1:

Craig jumps 10 inches at a time. We assume he can only jump 10 inches, no more, no less.

Domenic jumps 6 inches at a time (no more, no less).

The total length is 144 inches out and 144 inches back.

On the run out, Craig has to jump 15 times (to 150 inches, or 6 inches more than necessary). Domenic jumps exactly 24 times and turns around.

Same thing on the return trip...but because Craig went that extra 6 inches, he is now behind and DOMENIC WINS!!! :woohoo:

I know this one too. Most grandparents like to keep grandchildren for as long as possible. Unless they're really sick or extra crabby. If that were the case, the phone could have rang as early as 5 am.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

While...

"the lion sleeps tonight"

It's the Bambi theroy you know!!! The females go out into the meadow while Male sits up on high and bosereves if no females got shot then all is good! If one of the does got shot, well I guess he will have to wait for the diner to deliver!

I personally really dig the bird in the Rain Forest: the males create nests and go to great efforts to make their nests most appealing to the females. SOme try to glitz by finding shells and shimery things to attract the females to inspect for approval. Ironically there are some engineering challenged birds that may have waited 3 minutes before the females arrive to construct.

Those are the bachelor birds! Need I say more??

BTW I forgot to mention these Bowerbirds are required to do a little dance too for the ladies to see if they care for their moves!!:dancer: Who invented the term bird brain?? These birds seem pretty darn wise to me!!:rotfl:

I was told we almost had a voicmail waiting for us after the movie for just this reason :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have fun at WDW, Duck :cool1:

(And I've told Craig that one of you must get a new avatar b/c it's confusing the heck out of me that you've got the same one! I told him that one of these days I'm going to wind up quoting you, thinking it was him and get myself into trouble :rotfl: )
