Oh no... I just showed this to dh and his friend (ok so they are an accountantand a nuclear physist with very high iq's) and they started solving the sums....

I cannot believe it...

You know, I remember when that comic was in the newspaper. I honestly grabbed a pen and solved it. It really is solveable, believe it or not! And I'm just a big enough math nerd to do it. I wish I still had the actual paper that I could scan and prove it. The only one that tripped me up (very briefly) was the integration one.

I haven't had to use Calculus in a while (though I probably should know it), so I'd have to get out my textbook, but I think I could if I tried really hard...

I took A level maths (18 yr old exams in the UK) but failed it... so all the words symbols are being recognised in my brain, but it's a rather long time ago so I wouldn't know where to start with them...
