I'll use living to 75 as an example.

If we all live to the age of 75, and have three phases of our lives :-

0-25 'start'

26 - 50 'middle'

51-75 'end'

so anyone from 26 to 50 is in their 'middle age'

to the riddle....but you better be leaving that middle aged stuff at the door, Mister!
