I only saw the first three. Then I saw "Freddy vs. Jason" which was really a major disappointment.

What part are they up to?

I saw it last night. Yes, it's Jason in the present day. It was entertaining, but very predictable. Sitting in the second row at an IMAX theater because it was so crowded didn't help me enjoy it.

It's a remake. Actually, I think they combined the first 4 movies into one. At least that's what I read somewhere.

Freddy vs. Jason was awful but I loved every minute of it.

When I was a kid I watched all of the Friday 13th movies and LOVED them. Out of all the horror movies I have seen over the years, the Jason character still is the most frightening. As an adult, I am not sure if I want to see Jason again. I was (and still am) scared.

The summer I was 12 or 13, "Friday the 13th" was being run by one of the cable movie channels over and over. Not as much as "Poltergeist", but a lot.

Watched that thing a gazillion times. Wasn't too scary the first time and not at all after that.

I kind of grew up on horror flicks. Liked them from the get-go. Even the bad ones like, "Happy Birthday to Me."

Freddy vs. Jason was awful but I loved every minute of it.

LOL, me too!!!!! It was so bad, but Freddy was so darn funny!

I am dying to see this new one, but my kids aren't old enough, and my dh isn't interested.

My husband and I saw it on Friday. We both liked it. My husband summed it up pretty good- like the originial 3 or 4 but a better production with a bigger budget. Jason is a little different in this one, he's fast and agile. I think I like slow and stalky a little better but I definitely enjoyed the movie. If you liked the original 4, you will like this one.

We liked this remake better than My Bloody Valentine released last month, and starring the other Supernatural brother.

It was good. It gave a lot of back story which I always find good in a horror film.

DS13 went on Friday the 13th. to see it and really enjoyed it. He said that it explained a lot more than the other movies and connected the dots...

I haven't seen it yet but I'm looking forward to it. I live in the town that the original movie was filmed in so its kinda exciting to watch the old ones
