Thanks for the update! This may change things for us. My mom wants a restaurant with REAL turkey and we have narrowed it down to 3 restaurants but LTT may be the perfect "Thanksgiving" place to eat. Now I just need to decide before Wed. when I can make my reservations!

We don't check in until the 24th so 180 days from that date is the 28th which is Wednesday. I wish I could call today! Hopefully something will be left when I call. That's why I am going in with several options. But thanks for trying!!!

Have they changed it? It was definitely pressed when we ate there a few years ago.

I don't know about when you all went. I have been to WDW several times but never ate at LTT until making ADRs for this upcoming Thanksgiving.

And I saw on a post that said it was pressed and so when I was making ADR's for our upcoming trip I asked the DDcsr and to make sure she asked her manger and even asked another manger above her to double check and they said NO it would be fresh turkey.:)
So I thought I would pass it on because LTT is usually the 1st place to go on Thanksgiving Day due to the theme and meal.:)

We had fresh carved turkey there in 2006. It was perfectly juicy and great. Definetly not turkey loaf. Both white and dark meat were on the platter. The steak was also just right, juicy tender flank steak.
No fake meat here!
The stuffing was stove top and the mac-N-cheese is the frozen stoffers stuff, but my kids love that.
LTT is the meal my 15 yo chose for our upcoming trip (each kid picks a meal.)
HTH :) Sheli

Well, that's good news. The pressed turkey -- we probably ate there in 2003 -- was the reason we haven't been back.

We ate there in Sept of 07 and it was quite nice, we have ressies for this Oct. I do not think it was pressed meat. Also, they did not serve cranberry sauce, yet when I asked (after my meal) they said they do have it upon request, so if you like it be sure to ask :goodvibes:

Good Luck in getting ADRs!! I called this am and could not get into LTT for Thanksgiving Dinner unless I split my party into 3 tables and ate at 4:15pm!
We just went with Chef Mickey's instead. I am so sad! But, I did not want 3 separate tables on Thanksgiving (5 of our party are under age 7). And eating at 4:15pm would be like eating at 3:15pm for us, we are on Central Time.:sad2: :sad1:

we get the turkey dinner at LTT during lunch every trip and never thought it to be "pressed" - it was always fresh carved....

We eat luch at LTT on every trip, and the turkey is my wife's favourite. I can't speak for years ago, but it is definitely real turkey now, and very tasty.

Thanks for the tip about the cranberry sauce. Odd that we will have to ask for it but ok WDW.LOL

Wow I am glad we were able to book dinner at LTT just yesterday.:goodvibes

It sure as heck wasn't carved turkey last Thanksgiving Day when we ate there. It was pressed, uniform, white meat, all the same and not very good. I wonder if they are pawning off "fresh turkey" as some food service version that meets some food definition of fresh but really isn't. Call back and ask if you'll be able to get a turkey leg on your plate, or a wing with the bones and some skin on it. Or if the kids can request the wishbone. I'd really like to have a kitchen tour to see dozens of whole turkeys being roasted fresh on Thanksgiving Day and then being carved up. Disney has been dumbing down their food of late, and I'd be surprised if they are telling the truth (or at least the whole truth).

What year was it that you all went? Some people on this thread were saying that last year and even 2006 it was real turkey but another said in 2003 they also thought it was not real?
I asked it would be whole fresh turkey and WDW dine said YES. So I myself will be very upset if it isn't but many people said it has been real turkey?
Had you ever ate there after that time? Would you eat there again?

Just got back a few days ago and it was fresh craved turkey. Definitely was not pressed
