French School Holidays

Just looking at actually booking the rest of my stay now, and when I phoned up the booking line, the lady said that the week we're there (W/C 9th May) is French School holidays - does anyone know if this is true..? Now looking at the hotel availability online, and both the Cheyenne and Santa Fe are booked up for the 2 nights we want (9th and 10th) and only Montana rooms in the Sequoia Lodge....so fits in that everythings booked up...

does anyone know for sure the dates of any holidays?

I don't think those dates are anything special. The 8th is VE day (Armistice) and there are school holidays for some regions that end on the 8th.

We're going on the 8th May, and I happen to work with someone from Paris, so much discussion about French holidays took place!

Its not like the whole of france has exactly the same holidays, but we don't beleive we've anything to worry about. If I remember rightly, the park closes earlier that week than the surrounding ones, which would imply a quieter non-national-holiday period to me.
