French rolls

Are they supposed to be hard or soft? They were on our grocery list, but the ones at the store were real hard. I want to break bread, not a crown.

No they are not supposed to be hard but they are supposed to be crusty, there is a difference. If they just feel hard then they are stale. You'll know when you get the good ones cause they are really gooooooooooood!
