French Quarter rooms, multiple family members

In June 2021, we're planning a family trip to Disney World and are thinking of staying at French Quarter. It will be my DH, two DD's who will be 15 and 11, and my baby boy who won't be 2 yet and I in one room, my dad will have his own room with a king bed, and my mom and step dad in another room with a king. Ideally we'd like all three rooms next to each other, but realize that's not likely. We're willing to settle for all three rooms in the same building and same floor. Do you think there's a good chance we can at least get that?

The odds are not great as Sponica has said those king size beds are the issue but I would not overly worry about it. At that resort you will be at most 8 minutes at most.

Even if the three rooms are not on the same floor or even in the same building, it's such a compact resort I think it wouldn't be a big deal. POFQ is lovely, very easy to navigate, and walking entirely from one end of the resort to the other is less than 10 minutes. Their food court is terrific, and the walk to the sister resort POR is only about a 15 minute walk. The boat to Disney Springs is an added bonus too! You have picked a wonderful resort...I hope you have a magical time with your family!

As stated above POFQ is a tiny resort. No long walks anywhere. So no matter what you’ll be close. As for the king beds. Me and the wife went a couple times without the kids. We always got the king bed. Just requested it. But not sure in your situation.

Don't sell Disney short.
Let them know your preference of 3 adjoining rooms and they will do their best.
I would not put in a request for "same building same floor" as that's not as specific and they very likely will not try to get you next to each other if they don't know that is what you'd really prefer.

Agree about the King room as I think there are under 100 in the whole resort. Plus they are a separate booking category. If your Dad and Mom& Stepfather are ok with rooms with 2 Queen beds you will have a better chance. Just book the all 3 in the same room category ( Standard, Garden, Pool or River).

POFQ has about half their rooms connecting. If you aren't stuck on the bed preferences you have a pretty decent chance of connecting rooms, at least 2 of them anyway. Or if you only need 1 king, many of those do connect to a 2 queen room. Anyway, make connecting your 1 preference with same building as the next request and I bet you can get it. But do look long and hard at the bed type and see if there are any leeway

If you - well, they - are stuck on the bed, YOU need to book a waterview room, then request adjoining (= rooms next to or near each other) rooms facing the river.

I know my dad would be, not to mention the money he could save. My step-dad is a big man, so a queen bed would be out of the question.

But he could have a queen to himself as the room would have 2 queen beds.
My parents NEVER get a king bed room at any hotel as they rather sleep in separate beds since they crowd each other every night at home.
