If you had to choose between 2 rooms at the French Quarter or 1 room at the Contemporary (Wing), which one would you choose? For 2 adults, 2 teens?

I still cannot decide which would be better, and it looks like Tuesday will be the day to book. ;)

Thanks!

Id take the 2 rooms at the POFQ, the Contemporary just looks so aged to me. Like a bad 70s Sci Fi film.

Just my opinion.

I have never stayed at POFQ, but I have stayed at CR (tower) many many many times. I do not find it to be "tired", it's just another hotel with a different atmosphere. I think the rooms are brightly colored and appealing. You do get the feeling that you're staying in the city while you're there. The rooms are quite large. The California Grill Restaurant is fabulous. I cannot comment on the wing locations, but based on my experiences in the tower, I don't think you'd be disappointed. Plus....it's a monorail hotel- YIPPEE! :bounce:

I have stayed at neither but I do have 2 older boys and if faced with that decision....hmmmm oooh that is harder than I thought. No, I think that I would choose the Contemporary. Its' closeness to the MK, the fact that it's on a monorail line would probably win out. However, FQ is gorgeous (we never stayed, but have visited during our stays at POR) Hard decision, glad I'm not making it. Good Luck!:)

The Comtemporary is SO in need of updating. I just hope the rooms look better than the outside. I could not believe how little Christmas decorations they had compared to all the other deluxe hotels. It depresses me to ride through it.

I think it depends on how comfortable you are with staying in the same room as the teens, or also, whether you trust the teens to be in a room by themselves. If you think you'll be uncomfortable with two teens in the same bedroom as you, then the two rooms might be a better choice. However, in the Contemporary rooms, the teens still probably wouldn't have to share a bed, because the daybed is so large. I dunno, I guess if you're all comfortable with each other, the Contemporary would be a great choice for the monorail and all.

I would choose 2 rooms at POFQ instead of 1 room at the Cont. in the wings. If you decide to splurge and go for a tower room then do the Cont. I think the wing rooms are musty and not as well taken care of but I LOVE the tower.

I picked the French Quarter simply because with 2 teens, two bathrooms will be a MAJOR asset.

Similar dilema for us Cali. 3 kids, 2 rooms at POFQ or POLY. couldnt decide so we split our 2 week stay with the majority at the Poly. If i had the chance however I would probably pick a 2 bed villa at BCV, however they are fully booked!

This is a choice you have to make based on the fact that there are advantages to both. CR- walk to MK, Monorail, Deluxe resort amenities, less people on the busses back to the resort. POFQ- two bathrooms, more elbow room, better theming. With Tuesday's discounts, I think CR is less expensive. We are a group of 5, and CR won. I got spoied on the monorail at the POLY last time.

If I were you Cali I would want my own separate room from my parents. You'll have more freedom and privacy, as long as you and your sister get along Ok. ;) We're going to give POFQ a try also ... everyone says it's nice and it's recently remodeled. :)

Well, Erika, the night before all the codes came out, I was sick of waiting, bid on priceline, and we'll be at the Gaylord Palms. I wish I would have known AP rates would come out the next day! Oh well, Gaylord Palms looks really nice! We'll have 2 rooms, too. :)

Cool :) I saw some pics once and it looked awesome. :) Gotta love Priceline! We use it for Indy and Chicago all the time. :)
