Remind me what the orange colored drink is in France that everyone raves about.........:headache:

You can get it at a booth outside the france pavilion right before the bridge. There is also a grey goose lemon slush that is good. Beware of the $15 nuvo sparkling vodka. The man who worked there told me it was not sold anywhere else in the US. When I got home I saw the whole bottle at the store for $22.

and you can get it at the kiosk out in front of the resturant in
France. They also have a Grey Goose lemon one which is also yummy!

Grand Marnier and Cointreau are both orange liquors. It was an alcoholic drink right?
The other thing the French drink is Orangina which is non-alcoholic orange soda in a fancy small glass bottle.

I had one yesterday, it wasn't too bad. Almost like an orange creamsicle with a little kick. Even though it was pretty chilly yesterday at Epcot, it still melted pretty quickly in my opinion.

I read a live dining report from a DISer this morning that said they had them available at Pleasure Island? Can anyone else confirm that? They were also selling a Southern Confort Hurricane too.

Ok I just went back and checked ChelleinNC's report and it was the Grey Goose Slush not the Grand Marnier at PI.

I tried the Grand Marnier slush for the first time after seeing Samantha Brown rave about them on one of her many WDW shows. I LOVED IT! I enjoyed it a lot more than the Fiesta Margarita I had earlier in the day. I will definitely be getting this again. It's $9 but SO worth it!

$9? ouch! Curiosity will probably get the better of me, though, and I will probably try it. But for $9 it better be darn good ;) (I know, I'm so cheap!)

I'll be a voice of dissent - I didn't like it much. DW had the grey goose lemon and I thought it was a little better. My gran marnier was quite strong, covered up the orange flavor so that it tasted mostly like alcohol and not at all like a creamsicle with a slight kick. Maybe I just got a strong batch. Only slightly better than straight whiskey. Yuck.

That said, I still drank the whole thing, lol.

I agree...it was o.k., but did prefer the grey goose lemon. But I also drank my whole Grand Marnier...not going to dump $9!

I had a better orange-creamsicle-tasting blender type drink from Hurricane Hannah's over at the Beach Club. Don't remember what the name of it was, but thought it was way tastier than the Grand Marnier slush at Epcot/France.

Also agree with the PP who said it was better than the Fiesta Margarita...those are really pretty to look at, but thought the taste was bleh! Odd combo of flavors. We loved the Italian Margarita, though. And all time fave "country" drink is the Sultan Colada from the stand at Morocco...like a pina colada with almond liqueur added. WAYYYY too good.

Had one yesterday and thought it was really weak, but when I hit the bottom Whoohah found the grand marnier..

It was tasty, shouldve gotten another but try pushing a stroller with one hand going over the bridge into england ugh.

About the pink Nuvo thingy: I bought a bottle at our local Publix for $18. It filled two regular champaigne glasses. That's $9.00 a drink. The Epcot kiosk sells a "very" small champaigne glass of it for $15.00!

Honestly, it is very pretty; but not worth either price for a glass. I would rather put a very small drop of red food coloring into good champaigne just to make it "pretty" :rotfl2:

DH and I split the difference...my favorite is the Grand Marnier one and he prefers the Grey Goose lemon slushie. Everyone leaves happy!:thumbsup2

Just an FYI - you can get them at the Poly too. (We saw them on the menu at the volcano pool bar in August).

I loved that GM slushie!

Can't wait! I'll be having one next week for the 1st time!

They were selling them at one of the outdoor bars at what's left of Pleasure Island.
