Hi, does anyone know if I can purchase a French martini anywhere in France without eating at Chefs de France or Monsieur Paul's? I had one last spring at Monsieur Paul's, it was so yummy, I want to get another next month. But, eating in either restaurant is not in our plans this trip. Thanks!

A French Martini is a drink that can be ordered at any bar. It is a yummy mix of vodka, Chambord (a raspberry liqueur), and pineapple juice.

The problem would be finding the Chambord at another bar w/i Epcot. WDW seems to cut inventory costs by stocking only certain liquors. For instance, I can get Drambuie (a personal nightcap favorite) readily at most any bar at home but when staying at Poly I call in advance to make sure Tambu Lounge has it on hand for my stay. Once they borrowed a bottle from GF, LOL.

I bet it would be easy to have a barkeep make the drink at DS though. Or just have an ice cream martini at L'Artisan des Glaces and start a new love. No Chambord but they do have Grand Marnier and rum.

Thanks! I know I can order it anywhere just loved the way it was made with the perfect amount of foam etc at Monsieur Paul’s. I will definitely try the ice cream martini at L’Artisan!!

Oh my! I need to try the ice cream martini.

The French martini is my go to drink when I do not like the wine list. Cheers!

*eyes glaze over a bit* now I really can't stop daydreaming about that ice cream martini I had last trip (caramel ice cream with grand marnier). Pure happiness in a glass.

Wow. It never occurred to me that a bar might not have Chambord!

Champagne with raspberry juice was my request for my WDW wedding and when they said they couldn't get the juice I asked about Chambord instead and that was also a no go... seems like most of WDW doesn't stock it.

Thank you for this post. Going out to dinner tonight with my mom (karensi) and my dd-25 and plan on sitting down and ordering a French Martini.
I love them (sometimes too much) and love when they are made perfectly with a chilled martini glass. Yummy.

I'm kind of surprised - I would have thought Chambord was a fairly standard stock item for any bar, but I stand corrected!

If you like things on the sweet-ish side but not too sweet, try a Stiletto sometime. It's kind of like a Manhattan but made with Whiskey/bourbon, amaretto, dry vermouth and bitters. So good!
