Is there anywhere in the France section to purchase real macaroons? Not so much with a snack credit although that does sound yummy, but looking for a pack to bring home as a gift.

Thanks in advance!

No not that I'm aware. They should absolutely have a place there, although they're pretty labor intensive not really something you can easily mass produce.

McDonald's has them in France so it must be possible. They should definitely offer them in France at Epcot. Let's hope it happens eventually.

I read an unconfirmed report that that Baby Cakes in DD had them. I know that Boma put one on our celebration plate that had four or five small treats. It was INCREDIBLE!

My son had them in Paris earlier this year and was so crazy about them he made sure they were served at his wedding reception last month. We LOVE macarons!

La Durée just opened a store here in Manhattan! I went this past weekend and my macarons were :cloud9:. I just fell in love with them after studying abroad in Paris!

I agree that it would make sense for the French pavilion to add them to the bakery repertoire! So distinctively French..

Really?! I loved Ladurée when I was in Paris a few years ago (although ironically, I had tea and pastries there - never tried one of their macarons :rotfl:).

Their macarons are legendary, so I have to try them next time I'm in Manhattan!

Such delicate little things..You think they'll make it home uncrushed? There are a few vendors online that will ship to you.

They have baggies with 3 or 4 macaroons at La Boulangerie Patisserie but I think they are the more Americanized macaroons than traditional French ones.

Definitely do! I believe they are shipped in from France, so they were just as good as I remembered. The salted caramel macaron was a standout. :worship:

Thanks for the info, I definitely plan on going soon!

I just googled them and found some of the flavors on yelp: salted caramel, black current & violet, strawberry mint, rose - I want to try all of these.
